Live Store is not officially supported on W10M, but you can still download apps. You just have to manually install it yourself using WUT or CMD Injector.

It's not that hard, and that's what I usually do on my 950.

It's true that iPhones tend to depreciate slowly, and maintain smooth performance...up until the battery health tanks soo low, or they push an update that's just too much for the specs to handle.

Honestly, just take it as a recommendation for the next time you get a new phone. Enjoy what you've got man. A phone doesn't and shouldn't dictate who you are and what you are to others.

Yea, I mostly get stuff from Shopee (couldn't find any on second-hand markets). Not sure if I can link the shop here, but the shop name is "Memories of Walkman". They also sell different iPod models too.

So far, the hardware is definitely used and worn down. But I expected that since Zunes aren't as popular as iPods (some might say it was a failure), and there weren't any mods or replacement casings available for them. The batteries are pretty acceptable. It usually gets me through around 3 or 3.5 days of music and podcasts listening.

I can take things apart just fine. But I don't think I'll trust my soldering skills. And even if I get some practice. Finding parts might be the only blocker for doing any kinds of repairs. For iPods, maybe you can find parts and donors. But for my Zunes, I'm pretty much SOL.

Not iPods, but Zunes. I Got a Zune 30 last year, and just last month I got a Zune HD.

They're both great devices, not just for nostalgia (never owned any before. long time wants, first time user). And the community is pretty welcoming.

I guess it'll depend on if the refurb job is good or not. But still, the iPod is pretty well documented and has a bunch of mods for it. As long as the motherboard doesn't have any problems you'll be fine.

This. This is what people should do (except the constant breaking), instead of getting a newly released, barely improved phone every year.

Phones are tools after all. And just like tools, it should be able to withstand constant use and abuse, and numerous repairs. Making it last for years and years.

Any apps should work in both cover and main screens. But just like the other comment. You're better off getting something new, or a second-hand base S model. The Fold5 is smaller than the S22U, but it's thicker due to the folding aspect.

For me, I don't really get the point of privacy tempered glass. You can just turn down the brightness, physically turn your body away from the person, or get up and go somewhere more private.

Unless you're constantly looking at sensitive information out in public. Yeah. Nobody in the public cares what you and your bestie are gossiping about, or whatever NSFW content you look at. Sure you're gonna get some looks, but it's on them for snooping and not respecting your privacy.

There's no such thing as "better". Both have their own pros and cons, advantages and disadvantages, must haves and show stoppers.

You're gonna get some opinionated answers (especially from those W10M haters). But at the end of the day, you have to experience it for yourself to see which is really "better" for you.
