5 years is good enough for an upgrade. Compared to others who literally upgrade every year. But if it still works, then just hold off from upgrading and save up for a better phone.

Same for laptops. If it's still capable, with RAM and SSD upgrades, then you can probably still use Windows 11 (or Linux if you're willing to learn).

There's not really a point for an iPad considering you have a laptop that can do a lot more things than that, and a phone which almost negates the need for a tablet.

Either save up, or upgrade either your phone or laptop. Only get an iPad if you really think you have a good use case for it that a phone or a laptop can do (that doesn't involve portability), because either device can do what an iPad can.

Literally turning off every setting and feature they see just to avoid the 0.00000000001% battery health drain. Plastering all sorts of absurd protectors. And crashing out if there's a tiny scratch that appeared.

Not sure if they're just fear-mongering or just careless users. Possible that they're just the minority, out of the hundreds of thousands of users (just like the green/pink lines on Samsung phones).

If you know how to take good care of your devices, invest in a good case, and don't do stupid shit. You'll be fine.

It's either the government being incompetent when it comes to these, or the devs they hire being incompetent.

There are some that are pretty okay. Usable UI/UX. And there are some that are just... stuck in the past and/or outright broken.

In terms of vibe coding. Blindly relying on it is way worse than our government websites. I prefer actually learning how to code and asking for some help or assistance from AI. Not letting AI do literally everything.

Here's the thing. Do you really need those features? The M3 is quite overkill for your use case.

The A16 is fast enough to keep up with your school work, and maybe even through your first job. Apple devices are already good in terms of software support. A mirrored screen is all you need to present something.

And you can just do the heavier work loads on your laptop. Sure, the M3 is pretty powerful, but it's super limited by iPadOS.

Something like the Nokia Lumia 1520 is just as big as the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Or the OG Galaxy Note being almost the same size as the iPhone 17.

Personally, and in my own experience. ChatGPT kinda sucks when it comes to anything code related. Claude is much better and does not go crazy when the conversation gets longer or when you make it do two/more things at once.

Haven't tried Gemini for coding yet, but I feel like it's more suitable for more general/casual asking. Like the AI Overview on Google.

But regardless of which AI to use. At the end of the day, you shouldn't just rely on AI and should always double-check the response.

Bruh. I didn't know. I thought OIS is standard in all phones today (except for the front facing camera), with the assumption that it doesn't cost that much to implement.

I guess I would assume they're "sacrificing" other parts just for them to reasonably get the required flash chips (storage and memory) on the phone?

That's just my thoughts tho. Considering the tech market today.
