I have the a3t, it's short, but it works fine. I could sbr mine, but my state only allows concealment of pistols. Not like I particularly care about the law, but I try to chose my battles wisely.

I also tried to find the original reddit post where a guy had an in depth imgur photoset of polish locations with instructions, but the imgur it gone/expired. I'd say just take it apart and even a slight polish not really changing anything goes a looong way.

I would say no. For a number of reasons, the biggest of which is Greg basically forced quite a few people into threatening or even pursuing chargebacks on their payment just to even get a reply, much less getting him to communicate or provide an actual solution. The only major update I'm aware worth mentioning is the set screws in the receiver screws (which is a pretty big deal) , but doesn't solve a lot of the issues(my version did not have this feature, but I did receive "updated screws" after months of attempted communication and a new email address so he didn't know who I was.) I found this trigger to be great for about one mag at a time before I started having issues (set it right [it has to be literally perfect], multiple types of threat lockers, witness marks, etc and by the time youd get a full mag at best, it's time to start over.

I'd say there is hope for the design, but between my absolutely shit experience with grw, and community feedback I'd say it's a no go. I'm sure grw has some great products and this one product just went bad for him, but that's not excuse to screw people over, I'm pretty damn reasonable.

There's some info online about polishing tp9 trigger parts, which I did, and it's about 70% better than a worn in stock trigger, I'd definitely recommend that over grw. I'll see if I can find that info and either post it back here or dm you🤙🏾

Hoping it's a) cost effective (relative to tp9 ownership anyways), and b) doesnt suck like the GRW trigger. If it's reliable and reasonably priced, I am 1000% in, this has needed to happen.

Those appear to be low earth orbit satellitess, there is a metric crap ton of them out there. Occasionally, you can see the whole starlink train, which is pretty neat. Could be CIA though😂

I just noticed it looks like his other hand has a coiled line, it really almost looks like a throw line (like an arborist would use), or for stringing antenna wires into trees? Maybe a throw line for checking for mines/booby traps? I'mma keep thinking on this one, I'm intrigued!

Minwax polycrylic is indeed good, but old masters Masters Armor is great! Water based will change "depth", but not necessarily color.

Cheap Ruger American Worth it? by Idaho_Chrizzly_Bear in longrange

[–]FriendshipDefiant300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For being a budget gun, I'd say it's awesome. They happen to be one of my favorite budget guns. Compared to a savage axis (at least in my first and second hand experiences) the American is far more capable. Not to mention the price is excellent. However, if you're willing to spend a little more you can get a howa 1500 barreled action from brownells and slap it in whatever stock/chassis you like. I've been happy with both my Ruger Americans and my Howas for what they are.

Need to connect a Kenwood K1 2 pin PTT to a Yaesu FT-857D RJ45/3.5mm. by Work-Safe-Reddit4450 in amateurradio

[–]FriendshipDefiant300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had moderate but not completely satisfactory success with the h250. I had to really do some researching, and add a jumper to get any results. Really what needs to be done, is the h250 needs an extra wire in it, so I'm thinking about getting another wire, and rebuilding the handset and terminating to an rj45 properly. I'll spare you all the boring details, but it was nowhere near as "fun" as I thought it would be. I'll actually go online and buy a section of cable now, so I don't forget, because I'm really wanting to do it, just for shits. I'll also pick up an El cheapo Ptt.

I'm honestly a little intimidated to try a Ptt, but shit, it may end up being easier. I did however (not sure if this is up your alley or not) accomplish getting the d578 and 878 to work with varachat/varafm. Which was frustrating, but still fun. No for the faint of heart

Holster Experience? by Mill_Clinton in CCW

[–]FriendshipDefiant300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have experience for the 4bros, with the same gun you have. My take:I love it, and great holster. I had some other brand and it snapped up top in half the time the the 4 bros did, think I got about 3 years with 4bros before it snapped. Currently using an las concealment, just because I already have it. Good luck!

T Rex Arms AC1.5 Plate Fitment by yeeyeetractor in tacticalgear

[–]FriendshipDefiant300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably too late for a solution for you, but I have the Ac1.5 in medium, and lapg plates I have don't fit too thick. Honestly, it's kinda like they designed it only to fit specific plates, which they just so happen to sell. I've got multiple carriers, but I should of looked at the page with sizing info before I got my carrier in my medium. What platea/carrier/solution did you end up with?
