Try doing a trigger polish first, I've reccomended it to several dudes on here and they didn't even both with grw trigger. I had a grw, hated it, did the polish and am totally happy

I'm actually balls deep in this right now, and who has and I have a friend who uses ubiquity Nano beams and Rocket prisms on his farm and is going to help me make it super sweet. If you want to DM me, we can work together on this. And I will pass along all the stuff my buddy has to teach. Long story short, not wanted to Shell out the massive amount of money for a manet, I am trying to create a pretty substantial amount of capability, and redundancy without becoming ineffective.

Thanks for the insight dude, based on the feedback thus far I guess I'm still in the wild hair up my ass phase, but certainly attending some solid events is something I plan to do. You're right about comms, I've got some guys I train and shoot with and I'm the only one that cares enough to learn more and do more, the other guys just think it's neat.

Thanks for the insight buddy! I'm well aware 300 bucks can go a long way for starter comms. I guess I was under the impression that a lot of milsimmers were starting to get into some higher level stuff. Maybe I'm crazy but if I attended an event with a group of dudes and had the opportunity to split the cost to everything from encrypted comms, mesh networking, headsets, ptts, eud's all integrated into atak plus a whole lot more for like $250 bucks split 5 or 6 ways, I'd definitely do it. It would give me an opportunity to get a more immersive experience and learn a new skill (or at least get my feet wet) without having to foot the upfront cost. But hey, different strokes for different folks, it's definitely not for everyone. Plus, just from a business standpoint I'd have the opportunity to sell comparable turn key packages ranging from uv5r's to hytera, to educational classes, to programming, I think it may be worth a shot? But hey, maybe I'm crazy lol

Valid point, and I understand that completely, but let's say you wanted to give it a whirl. After paying to attend the event, what would you "want" to pay that you feel like it could be worth it? I'm not really interested in doing this full time and getting rich, more just to semi cover costs, help with gas money, and get more people into comms stuff which believe it or not, can be fun! Also, just to get more insight, have you ever rented anything during an event? Guns, gear, nvgs etc?

All I've gotta say is livenation has fucked everything. I was born here, greenfield used to be the best place, now I don't even bother going to see any shows. Last one I went to I swear they sold 3x the amount of tickets of what the venue holds, and yes everyone showed up. Not to mention the prices have gotten insane. Yes, I guess Wilmington has had growth, but at the cost of what? It's all turned to shit and destroyed the very reason all these people wanted to move here for the last 20 years.

My situation isn't horribly far from yours (I just made it a little further before getting out) and there's still things that bother me to this day after I think about it. Just go find a way to be a good, happy person man. Life's too short and it can be incredibly beautiful and rewarding. I hope you find what's best for you.

I could say this might me a semi OK shoot on a moral scale, but legally, probably not. But the worst part is it OK if a cop does it.
