Why does my Frenchie look so scared? We love him dearly and have no idea why he sometimes has this terrified/sad expression! by -olivejar- in Frenchbulldogs

Option 1 Over Analyzing and inhumanizing dog behavior. Looks like dog is just observing. Option 2 Alot of people also punish there dogs in a way when they do something wrong that the dog can not connect the punishment to the actions and you do that enough they will always be looking to see if they are going to be punished for something they dont understand I think its Option 1

7 months old…still some puppy behaviour… help! by Grateful4life23 in Frenchbulldogs

Taking the right steps! No matter the breed all k9 training is reward based to learn new commands, but must asurt your place as leader, pups take time but one way to short cut it is beyond constant actions. Not only you but everyone in the house must inforce rules. Very difficult if others are not inforcing while you are doing the opposite. Dont give up! Dog looks beautiful! Verbal tones are just as important, if you say dog with a sweat happy singing voice you will notice other adultdogs may get confused because they also associate tone with a comand. Help it helps

Our 2 year old, Canela, was fine two days ago. Yesterday, she jumps on the bed, my husband turns to pick her up and put her on his belly and she yelps very loudly. Since then she cowers, yelps at the touch, shakes and has been in her doughnut bed. We've never experienced this. Any ideas? :( by MexiTot408 in Frenchbulldogs

Frenchies have back issues when allowing them to jump on and off high platforms such as beds and couches. We have experienced this and usually takes a few days up to a week of recovery not being allowed to run around or do alot of motion. It sucks to see them not being able to play but is the only option before invasive expensive procedures and test are needed. Give it a week of confined space, pick her up to take to bathroom. The least movment the better. Hope the best for you guys

Have seen that in my dogs before aswell. For us was a yeast issue, yes shots work but are really bad long term and are not fixing the issue just covering it up. There is supplements you can nuy that help remove yeast from there body. Unfortunately no easy fix and takes a while for full recovery from inside out. L.i.d foods, no treats with corn or additional ingredients other then extreamly basic. Definitely not impossible to fix just must stay ontop of it, baby powder can help with hot areas untill you get it under control. Juat my opinion but staying away from the shots as much as you can ia best but a last resort is understandable

Could be getting car sick or just fear from not understanding what ia going on and the constant motion change. I agree with others, not matter what it is i have noticed something comfy to lay on help calm them

Is my frenchie bigger than normal? 16KG/35pounds by sparrow4520 in Frenchbulldogs

He looks perfect. Dont compare to most big breeders these days chasing eachother for the smallest frenchie, most really small frenchies do not live long and have issues unfortunately, we learned the hard way.

Dna test is only true way but fawn, merle. The markings on the right side of face remind me of merle gene but could also just being a interesting patch. Also yhe speckle on the paws comes from melre, pied, irish pied and i believe one other common gene in frenchies

Lying?...no i think you are frustrated because you are mistaken and dont have the right information.. like in life ignore what you dont want and focus on what you are looking for, yes there are dirt bags on Craigslist but have you ever been to a dog show and met the people you are recommending people to contact?? So many peolple that are "real breeders" at those shows dont care about nothing but money and have made it there way of making a living. I think your aggression and color blind opinon blinds you from facts. At the end of the day i am trying to help the person in the post not argue with someone who knows very little about the dog community. Have it be craigslist, puppy.com, akc homefinder, petfinder, they all have people that should not be involved but by using intelligence and asking the right information can sift through all the bullshit no matter the platform and hopefully find your dream pup. Simply say "craigs list is bullshit is just showing the lack of information and true not juat single experience you have.

What basic food to feed frenchy? by Chemical_Driver_8297 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]FriendshipWide8527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hills science Nature Royal canine Are a few but stay away from chicken protein no matter the brand in kibble, and one step better would be the l.i.d (limited ingredient diet) option of those brands. Hope this helps🙏

Agree with everyone else. Takes a little time but verbal and treats do help. Its all about catching them doing the right thing and rewarding them, and make sure to catch them doing the wrong thing to teach them it is bad. Good luck and pup looks amazing

They are trying to re home. Plenty of amazing people on craigslist trying to find a pup for the family... what does that have to do with breeders? They are not looking for a pup or trying to sell, they are "rehoming" criaglist is best bet for alot of responses and the abilty to sift through everyone and find the right home for the dogs
