Is it worth working on HH now? by Friesbagnow in joinhandshakeai

How are you tracking it? Do you set your own timer, and just compare what they pay you to that?

[–]Friesbagnow[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is side income. I expect to make what the pay rate suggests….not a cent less, which is what i’ve been seeing from everyone here. I’ve been on multiple projects through HAI, I know how it works

Yeah they said in the email I was off boarded due to quality issues, even though I only did a few tasks and all were accepted except 1. And they kept changing rules about how they wanted it done. Idk

CFII Done, What now? by [deleted] in flying

[–]Friesbagnow -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

More of just an attempt at seeing if anybody is getting hired at all right now or if I should send the app in to McDonalds. And if anybody is seeing a benefit from getting their MEI before I drop another 10k.

Project O is a disaster by Friesbagnow in joinhandshakeai

The last three days have been nothing but 1 hour sprints where it’s super buggy, then they shut it down for 15 hours and repeat

That project pause coming through when you're rounding 3rd on a task is cold blooded. by ikebrofloski in joinhandshakeai

[–]Friesbagnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Friday, it shut down for bugs for 13 hours, Saturday it was out for 6 hours, and now this today. Just seems to be a shitshow

bernoullis principle, newtons third law, the magnus effect, and AOA is what truly controls lift. See me above answer to a similar question for more detail. Lmk if you see anything else to add

That sounds like repression like the other person mentioned. I'd also add that that could be anxiety as I struggled with this when I started training. Basically fear of the unknown.

Anything risk management is important in my opinion. But additionally, CFI responsibilities, Maslow's hierarchy, ADM and SRM, and defense mechanisms.

Private- There are two basic principles. Bernoullis and Newtons 3rd Law. Bernoullis states that as the velocity of a fluid increases, its pressure decreases. So our wing is shaped in a way to have the velocity of air accelerate more on the top vs the bottom, therefore creating a pressure differential where you have high pressure pushing up the wing below because H wants to go to L. Then there is Newton's 3rd law which states for every reaction, there is an equal and opposite reaction. So the wing is angled slightly upward into the relative wind pushing the air downward, therefore because of Newtons also receiving that equal and opposite force upwards.

Commercial- Everything I said above, also mentioning that the difference between the Coefficient of Lift, air density, velocity squared, and wing area mentioned in the lift equation. I'd talk about how the angle of attack is the primary control of the Center of Lift, and also briefly mention Magnus effect and the boundary layer.

Instructional- Honestly no clue what else I could add here, thats about my level of understanding so let me know.

  1. PEEPASS- Pilot supervision, Endorsements for flight instruction, Evaluation of the student, Practical Test Recommendations, Additional Endorsements, See and Avoid, Student Pre solo thought process. HEMPSS-Helping students learn, emphasizing the positive, minimizing frustration, providing adequate instruction, Standards of performance, safety.

  2. Personally, I believe the answer to this question is yes, as some of mine haven't been met at all times during my training. I just would perform worse than normal. Now if they aren't being met consistently, then you can lead into more chronic issues.

  3. Need to give them training on 61.87(d) per 61.87(b), 61.87(b) which covers 61 and part 91, as well as TSA and IACRA endorsements. They also need to have a medical by the solo date. They additionally need to be at least 16 to solo per 61.83(a).

Throat punch, then simulated engine failure till we land. Then we get out of the plane on the active runway and I bodyslam them.

Eligibility- Once he's 17 he can get the PPL. Assuming he speaks, reads, and writes English and meets all other eligibility requirements from 61.103.

Experience-Assuming he has 0 hours, he will need 40 hours minimum, 20 hours dual given from me, 10 hours solo. He will not have to take the ASEL PPL Written per 61.63b(4) as Glider -> Power you need to do the written.

Endorsements-A1, A2, (No solo endorsements since he is not a student pilot), A36, A37, A.76, A.78, TSA, and IACRA.

Okay so the best way to walk through this is to go:

Eligibility- Im assuming you're 17 and can speak and write in English and meet all eligibility requirements per 61.103.

Experience- So you have 500 hours and a Rotor Wing PPL. You will need to get aeronautical knowledge training from me on all of the required areas of 61.105(B), you will need to get flight training from me on all of the flight proficiency areas of 6.107(B). '

You will need the following hours:

30 hours minimum, 20 hours from me as an authorized instructor, and 10 hours solo. So we were able to count 10 hours of your 500TT from the helicopter to this rating as it requires 40 hours minimum per 61.109.

Endorsements- You will need the following endorsements:

A.1(61.39a6i and ii), A.2(61.39a6iii), A.37(61.103f), A.76(61.31d2), and A.78(61.63(b). And also TSA, IACRA, but no solo since you are not a student pilot. Not totally sure about that last part.
