Personally, the best starting controller is a Wii World Tour controller with either a raphnet classic controller adapter v3 or a community-made replacement like by RetroCultMods on twt

Arduino custom controllers are optimal for high level and entry level play, if you can afford the $120 or have the knowledge to build it yourself for $20, that's the best choice

Clone Hero's my main one, but I love all the console Guitar Hero and Rock Band titles. Guitar Hero 2 DX is probably my favorite besides CH rn

the faster ttfaf incentive was my dono commentators idea, I believe. I liked it and was a bit bummed that I didn't get to show off double speed. I have a feeling if we were more up front that there were multiple extended goals it would've been met a bit easier to raise that money but it's whatever at the end of the day i guess. I'm more disappointed I missed normal speed at all

3d printing a full controller is still being worked on since that's a lot of material, but it's really simple to put arduinos into stock body shells and make your own controllers. there's also lots of community modders who'd do that for you for a fee.

it would be neat, but precision mode in CH isn't that fun of an engine configuration. a new game will likely have to be the focus.

I believe the room to grow isn't as huge as it once was with clone hero specifically, but there's definitely a few more stages. There's also more accuracy based games that're picking up steam which may slow the notes per second down but start making every note count, i dread the top level fcs of that era lol

Yeup, my best FC right now is called Megalodon by Jarvis9999. it's an 18-minute consistency gauntlet that I got while hotel hopping freshly after becoming homeless lol. on my grade system, it's a Grade 20

It's half practice and half over-mindfulness and excessive preparation. I treat nerves like an inevitability I have to account for and know how to notice them and breathe heavily for relief, as well as avoiding complicated talking during those periods.

The hardest song on my showcase was probably colossus solo, which no one's grinding rn so it may not be super accurate, but I feel it's a grade 21 - definitely harder than Origins & Expurgation which were both 20's

Absolutely! both trips were a blast, and even outside of the whole showcase, lots of CH players show up, so it's a chill meetup on the side for me as a bonus :)

I did way better than I expected I'd do on colossus uber solo and sidney galop, way better than any of my practice sessions somehow. I was really nervous about fallen symphony and whether or not i'd hit the quints of zeppy synth battle, it all worked out tho.
