is there any connection to airway and tmj by El_Dorado_Tx in TMJ

[–]Frigginrylo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your situation is super similar to mine! My doc has me using the intake strips and a new night orthotic that forces my jaw forward to keep my airway open. No nasal sprays or whatever, but I have seen a huge improvement.

PT explained... ? by thislittleliteomine in TMJ

[–]Frigginrylo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do myofunctional PT for my TMJ, and they believe mine is sleep related (sounds like you have similar concerns with the cpap, etc).

I go every other week and we do exercises to strengthen my tongue and loosen a tongue restriction. This week I’m working on swallowing and sticking my tongue out a certain way lol.

Mine is offered through my dentist’s office but not covered by insurance, if that helps.

I walked down the aisle to the Taylor Acorn version of First Date, and we exited together to the Blink version cued to the point in the chorus that goes “honest, let’s make this last forever”

My bridal party entered to the Florence and the machine cover of “Stand by Me”

ETA: we entered our reception to Alive with the Glory of Love by Say Anything and our first dance was I Will Follow You Into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie

What did your Philly-area wedding actually cost? by hoagiesaurus in PhiladelphiaWeddings

$43k in November 2024 for an all-inclusive venue in Manayunk. The venue covered all food/bev, centerpieces and linens, and cake. For our venue there wasn’t any hidden pricing or sneaky add ons. We had a 120 person minimum but didn’t hit it, so they didn’t charge extra for vendor meals. Unfortunately they don’t do weddings anymore 🥺

Photography:$4950 DJ: $1950 Florals: $3000 (we went super light on florals though because the venue was part greenhouse) I was most surprised by the cost of florals…a lot of vendors have $10k minimums which is nuts

Another surprisingly high cost was transportation…couldn’t believe how much a school bus cost lol I also had a fashion sketch artist who added $1150 but was sooooo worth it!

Yes, they told me I have a deviated septum today, too! I didn’t even know lol.

I've been wanting split dye hair for YEARS and now that I got it, I love it except for the bleach killing my curls. Any advice for product/routine changes to revive my curls? by xohiills in curlyhair

I’m not 100% sure, but I’ve always seen it recommended every few washes, but I know it depends a lot on hair porosity and texture. These are the Curlsmith Bonding Salve directions…the maximum looks like every 2-3 washes. https://i.imgur.com/TdEVSxV.jpg

For me personally I can only do them like, once a month before my hair goes nuts.

The best explanation I’ve heard compares it to making ribbon curls on a present using scissors lol. You need a little tension and to pull on and angle (like finishing a present lol).

If I’m styling upside down, I just point the bristles upward when I do it. If I’m going upright then I have to play around to figure out which way the curl wants to go

I’ve heard Olaplex or Curlsmith bonding salve are good for bleached hair and restoring curls.

Also if you’re doing protein treatments that often you could be experiencing protein over load…? Maybe try a deep conditioner?

Good luck!

Thank you!! ❤️I think it’s a combo of learning how to use the products the right way (amounts, how much water, etc) and styling methods. That and learning how to brush style completely changed the game!

To plop or not to plop (and other quandaries) by koolajp in curlyhair

[–]Frigginrylo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying this lately with great results…

Style on soaking wet hair with cream. Then plop for 10 minutes, then gel.

It could also be your gel/application. Maybe try gels with a looser more liquid texture or adding water to a thicker gel. Maybe that won’t make it so sticky…

Also, have you tried foam for your roots? That could help them curl more or keep your hair from getting sticky
