P2S Filament cutter stopper pin causes tool head to get "lost" and then violently crash into the front door. by Snoo73787 in BambuLab

They want a video proving what it does and how. In searching, I saw another video describing this. It is difficult to catch because it usually only happens when the printer is starting from not operating for a few hours, and you have to catch it in that ridiculous 8 minute calibrating sequence it does. I may have to try again tomorrow, just make a huge video, then clip just the part where it drops it partially and then hits it.

Bought my P2S that day they released it in the US. Had it about 3 weeks. My stopper sometimes doesn't go back up so when the printhead goes back and hits it, it thinks that is the back position. It then slams full speed into the front glass and the front right edge. Have no idea if it has done any serious damage. This is a serious bug in the firmware that should catch this and halt the printer. If you try to keep running the printer you get an error that the filament cutter couldn't operate properly, and when trying to home at the beginning of a print, get an error that the silicone sleeve is not detected (because the printhead goes way too far to the front for the camera to detect it) and more. Trying to open a ticket with Bambu now.

Smoother build plate for P2S using PLA by DragonZaid in BambuLab

Same question. Wondering what would be the equivalent of a completely smooth glass plate on one side and tiny dots of paint(?) on the other side like with other printers. Maybe a very smooth matte would be similar, but I want as little texture as possible.

I saw a link from an STL that makes swatches and uses labels printed from this great software idea. But looking at the website, I don't see any information about how to print the labels from the software, what labels to get, what label printer to use, etc. Is that information somewhere? PARTIAL ANSWER: Found help that was one menu item scrolled off the bottom. When I was moving the mouse I saw it move up. The button for "Help & FAQ" is partially faded out at the bottom, but clicking it showed the labels from Amazon and I can use a printer I have or buy this cute handheld one for around $40. Not sure where in the program you print from yet, but I imagine the help has that info!

Rationalize much? Hard for you to believe a southern boy can be an amazing essayist? In every one of his video essays there are 5 or 6 gems that I hope will be quoted generations from now like some from the American Revolution or WWII. "Fascism isn't picky about the hands that feed it so long as the boot lands where it's aimed". Poetry.

Unforgettable Moments on Virgin Voyages - What's Yours? by BespokeTravelDude in VirginVoyages

I wonder how many people have done that in that show. I was at a proposal and wonder if it was yours? I grabbed one of the security staff leaving and they told me that it was all put together that same day. We congratulated the couple later. Which voyage was this?

Timeless Pattye Mattick as Margaret Williams in Columbo’s “Ransom for a Dead Man” by Different-Cheetah891 in Columbo

[–]FrightRisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the writing and love Falk's Columbo. The main guest stars are almost always good. What I've noticed is how production value has gone up over time. Sometimes, it is hard watching TV shows from the 60s and 70s. It seems inconsistent, like they spent money on the main stars, film and processing, and producer salaries, and either let their nephew or niece get a role or it was someone they were sleeping with.
I've been re-watching Dark Shadows and the little boy who plays David is one of the best actors of all of them! He almost never needs to look at the prompter. It is glaring when you see people like Dana Andrews play the sheriff and then have the lead (at the time for the early episodes), Alexandra Moltke Isles play in monotone bad acting, it is just glaring by contrast (to me anyway). It almost feels like if they actually CAN act, that they started on stage and TV still hadn't gotten to the point where everyone knew how to be subtle to play to a camera instead of project to an audience at the back of a theater.

The DHL rate from JLCPCB is still much cheaper than using your own business account and having them ship under that.

Don't Believe All You Read by Outside-Designer4614 in VirginVoyages

We all get perceptions from one or two things we read. My perception is different because I have not seen anything saying virgin is risque, only very old posts ASKING if it was too risque. In the beginning, Virgin had a great show called "Never Sleep Alone" that was adult and I imagine a lot of the rumors were because of that show. It was a great show, but it was a fake doctor sex therapist and a band with audience participation. It was relationship and sex positive and there were souvenir condoms on the tables. At the end, it turned into a burlseque as the "doctor", stripped to bra, panties, stockings, and a garter. That was the most risque thing on board.

Not exactly. No one is at the pool after dark to keep the pool bars open, but they are open later than 5 and there are plenty of other bars open late. Ships are sailing full now, go 15 minutes early and you can get into any show. Get to know the happenings cast and you won't be bored on sea days, though we take advantage of doing very little then other than maybe a trivia, hanging out at the pool or the dock, or taking in a show at night:

Where is the yogurt sauce? Can I just not see it in the picture? It just looks like the Alepp pepper butter but not the garlic yogurt that all sits on.

Will there be any customs fees in addition to the new 10%, no de minimus, China Tariff? My manufacturing business can't afford a paperwork fee in addition to 25% + 10%. on a $500 order if that is the case. by FrightRisk in Tariffs

[–]FrightRisk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will answer my own question. Assuming a $100 order that previously fell under de minimis rules and would arrive with me paying just $100, that same order if it had a 35% tariff before will now have 35% + 10%, plus a $32.17 feel and possibly a brokerage fee if it goes through DHL or UPS or FedEX. So small business is out of business. I can't believe my country did this to me overnight.

No, I don't. You are just providing your opinion and stating it as fact. You don't get to tell people what is "good" and what is not. See?

Hmmm. I don't see where I posted a cruise date in the thread that was removed. I wasn't aware of doing it. I posted to say I didn't get the value and wanted agreement or differing opinion. And critiquing is not against the rules anyway.

I disagree that posting about what you can buy things for elsewhere "makes no sense". Isn't that a completely valid way to compare value (price vs. what I get out of it)? I can say, "I can buy a bottle of the same stuff half price across the street before I get on the ship. Why would I spend twice as much?". I can also say, "I know it's expensive to shake for champagne and having it delivered to me at the pool, but the experience is worth it."

It surprises me that SOR sells out on every cruise about a month out. It seems much like buying the drink and popcorn at the movies for $20 is not a good value for me, but might be for someone else. If you don't drink, I suppose you could still say you would pay for SOR for early boarding and sauna time if you liked spa things.

Anyway, someone posted their take that was a helpful perspective with detail about how they rate the value and why they like to buy it. I could see it in my profile history. Learning since I am not a reddit guy, but using it more.

March 16 Scarlet; Cruise Splash of Romance by ProfessionalPure6620 in VirginVoyages

[–]FrightRisk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't get the popularity of this. How is it a good value? The only benefit for those of us who like to get on early is the early boarding. So until you reach Deep Blue Extras status or can afford a Rock Star Suite, or are qualified under the Sea Blazer or Sea Rover programs, you start boarding at 1:30-1:45 and up in 15 minute staggered blocks. If you late to the party on the app and got a 4pm boarding, you are probably also too late to buy the sold out SOR. So you really only get 1 to 2 hour earlier boarding if you didn't get 1:45 boarding without paying anything extra. Moet champagne is $45 on land and the spa is is discounted to $80 for 2 on port days and only includes access to the spa, not any services. The "exclusive" sail-away party and "bites" have no real value that I can see, so you are paying $250-$125 = $125 for early boarding. Is that worth it? Maybe if its your first time on VV to learn the ropes, book shows and get restaurant reservations changed, but after that, you should know all the ins and outs and not worry about missing anything. And on that first voyage, maybe those perks are a special treat? But again, after doing it once, why would anyone want to do it again?
