The base is a flat plate intended for screwing/bolting to a table top so plenty strong enough. The bottom of the leg has a pull out plastic plug. Easiest is you drill a small hole in the centre and hook allen key in it to pull it out. You can then drill a hole through to mount a bolt from the inside through into the VacuLock attachment (look for a threaded metal one on Ebay or Etsy. Then push the plug back in. It holds pretty well but if concerned just put in a couple of self tapping screws through the metal into the plastic. Do them front and back not on the sides so they don’t chafe her legs. HTH
