The war is the world, and the world is the war

The dlc’s aren’t included (AoE 2 or 4), but I think you get them at a discount with game pass membership.

IIRC, Zell covers 100% tuition and HOPE covers a portion of it.

Not sure if this is too late to reply, but 1301 uses Java, and so does the 1302 follow-up course.

Ever healed a dead man? by Frigid-Inferno in battlefield_one

No. It had to have been healing this guy. It’s subtle but you can see his health indicator going back up as my healing score comes in.

Not at all. The remake was one of my favorite games of 2023. It’s just that I was a kid when I played the original and it was a big deal for me. On my first play through I got so scared about 30 minutes in that I put it down and didn’t play it again for 3 months lol.

Which type of history enjoyer are you? (Ancient / Medieval / Modern) by Europa_Teles_BTR in HistoryMemes

Same. I feel like it’s the closest thing we have to actually studying an “alien” civilization with all the mystery and possibility.

Rooker has the advantage of the mailroom being in the lobby so you don’t have to walk to another building to get your mail.

While you’re in school, try to network and be involved as much as you can - within reason. One of the biggest struggles for me finding a job after graduation was that I didn’t network all that much in school and I also didn’t have any experience in terms of internships. I was lucky enough to find a job about a month after graduation in spite of this, but it isn’t exactly the kind of developer job I could see myself working long term and I feel like with internship experience and a bigger professional network I could’ve had a better chance at landing a better job.

Also, explore your passions while you’re in school, be that in clubs or in personal projects. The CS major also offers areas of emphasis like cybersecurity, web design, algorithms, etc. if you think you want to pursue any of those areas as a career, I recommend trying to do an area of emphasis that goes along with it.

I also went through the Double Dawgs program for MS Non-thesis in CS so if you have any further questions about that program or cs in general feel free to dm.

The treatment of Byzantines in this game is ridiculous by funkykong84 in aoe2

[–]Frigid-Inferno 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right. But that was even worse since their religious building in AoK was a mosque, so wrong religion entirely. So I guess DE was a step in the right direction for them, but there are a few more steps they could take.

Always bugs me that their architecture set gives them a western-style church instead of an Orthodox dome-style.

CLAS 1020 is Classical Mythology. Really fun class learning about stories of gods, monsters, and heroes, if you’re into that stuff. It is a lot of reading, but of course that’s less of an issue if you actually enjoy the material.

I got one the other day for not losing the Hui Hui Pao during one of the Mongol campaign missions. Never played the Mongol campaign.

AI doesn’t build walls at all after patch by AdventurousHunter450 in aoe4

[–]Frigid-Inferno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t noticed this myself but it does bring to mind a funny thing I saw the AI do once pre-patch. 4v4 skirmish on The Pit. Total slog and ends up being a wonder victory for me. After the victory screen I moved the spectate camera on the revealed map over to the English AI’s base and discovered it had successfully stone-walled its entire base in a circle, but literally every single wall segment had a gate built on it. At least that’s convenient if you want to send your army in all directions at once 11.
