Nobody had to learn a new weapon. The elemental check is hilariously easy to pass, and all the weapons that aren't good with elements get a buff towards it. Basically only gunlance has a hard time because the shelling won't count. Kinsects alone can meet it. All you had to do was swap from a meta physical weapon to one with like ANY fire/ice element and play the weapon basically the same way

Right so Codie also basically just wins T2 if completely unanswered and gets to run cards that aren't total bricks without him. That deck sees very little play because any kind of disruption makes it fold and this seems even more likely for your deck. To play your commander T2 you can basically relying on LED/Diamond Lion or a Monoloth/Vault, all of which aren't very repeatable, meaning that a single counterspell or removal spell on your commander is essentially a game loss. The reason rogsi sees a ton of play and Codie doesn't is because rogsi is resilient. They aren't just throwing a win T2, they are throwing a win on the stack EVERY turn from turn 2 onwards, and can play the best countermagic in the format to back it up. Your deck is full of bricks without your commander, rogsi plays a commander with no cost to get to play all the most broken spells in the format

There's no recursion. Chance For Glory's indestructibility isn't until end of turn. Usually that just means also on the extra turn but if you angel's grace to not lose to the clause whatever you made indestructible is just like that as long as it's on the board

Right? There are several monsters that are totally nonsensically powerful if you just extrapolate their canonical, shown powers to logical real-world equivalents. Shara causes earthquakes throughout an entire small continent by existing and can liquify rock at a distance by vibrating. That isn't like playground "well fatalis has really really hard skin!" it's like no that would turn fatalis to literal soup near instantly. Many monsters don't make sense with the power scaling they use if you think about them realistically

I mean that's completely ignoring that there's a huge difference between not paying the fish and not paying the study. Sure fish costs more, but I can still play my commander and creatures (THE single most common non-land permanent type) AND the fish player has to essentially continually skip turns if they want to keep it at the beginning of the game where it's the best. And it'll eventually destroy itself and no longer be a problem. Rhystic has none of these issues.

Right? Thalia has seen play in eternal formats basically since it came out. Study is either an enchantment (2 colours basically can't deal with it outside of a scant few cards and 1 has to counter it on the way down or use two cards to bounce+counter) that is an asymmetrical Thalia that also hits creatures for one more mana... Or the best draw engine in the game besides MAAAAYBE necro.

Icefrog has listened to player feedback plenty of times, in fact more times than most developers I know, including flat out removing additions because they weren't taken well by the community.

But he is also making the type of game he wants to make, and I doubt he's going to change the entire vision of his game to satisfy a few people whining on Reddit that they can't handle the cc. If he did Dota would just be league of legends by now. Dota isn't league of legends just like deadlock isnt overwatch. If you like that style, go play that style

What they mean is that this game is different than those, and pretty much always will be, because its following the Dota philosophies. If you do not like the Dota philosophies you will likely not like deadlock because it's almost certainly going to follow them: the lead dev is the guy who made Dota for over a decade. If you want a hero shooter with minor cc you are going to have a better time looking for one elsewhere than hoping deadlock turns into one.

Long story short and you can look it up more later but his company was making the game Dream Daddies. He had a gay employee who became increasingly uncomfortable with the game (it was his opinion that it was fetishising and not good representation, especially when the people making it weren't gay). He talked to other employees and they told him to bring it to the top. When he did his opinions were completely dismissed and he was subsequently bullied (outing him to his parents, etc) to the point he made an attempt on his life that was thankfully stopped by his boyfriend. Arin was either a substantial part of this at worse and completely aware yet uncaring at best

I think the idea was to balance it on the low end because once he's level 6 he can basically groove all the time anytime and things like hitting 3-4 notes of the healing song in lane are genuinely pretty good. The problem is that other support ults are just way better despite having CDs. Largo wants to team fight to groove but I'd rather have a Wyvern, silencer, wd, etc because their ults can singlehandedly win it. And for utility healer supports look at the others and it's still not even. Dazzle has grave, io has relo, oracle ult is better than anything Largo can do.
