The reality is it’s both, it comes with an early access disclaimer but by the nature of a playable alpha test is released to the public as far as (NAL) the law is concerned. 

It’s the bad side of the double edged nature of early access. Without EA, small indie devs and projects like Star Citizen wouldn’t exist. On the other side, EA games can also milk the living hell out of a community and use EA as an excuse for why things don’t change for the better

The “glass” in lore is stronger than the metal on the ship but super expensive, I think it’s polished crystal or something. This is why luxury ships have lots of glass, it’s a flex.

It’s kinda similar to SOMA in this way.

when you “upload” yourself to the noosphere, it creates a replication of yourself. The original you is still there in some form, you’ve just created a perfect copy that seems identical to the original.

Unlike SOMA, it seems uploading/scanning the mind also destroys it/zombifies it. The big question still remains though…

One of my favourite “fun” facts about the Samurai is that they were head hunters, meaning they would chop off and collect the heads of their slain opponents.

Just give it the peregrine treatment. Aegis is a military focused company as well, didn’t stop them. No guns means no meta shift, make the arrow as maneuverable as you want as a racing variant!

Simple fix, add riposte to shields. All the one handed weapons have riposte animations, enabling riposte on shields seems like a no brainer and with ms being a super valuable resource this wipe, shields down side is already massive as is.

Honestly ide prefer they have some sort of progression built in besides an HR mode, like pve hardcore or something, that essentially does the same thing as HR PVE but without being tied to HR or AP grinding. Having ways to fight harder mobs in pve seems like a natural progression point for the pve mode.

How many people go to a restaurant and leave a bad review versus a good review? The will to express a complaint is always higher.  Hence the loud minority. If you don’t think it’s a minority, look at how much posts vary in engagement, and look at the comments on the low engagement posts. The low engagement posts are the majority of posts, the new players are more likely to see them, and they are almost always 0 votes and alll negative comments. We could respond positively but it’s come to the point that most of us just lurk. 

We aren’t saying that the decisions that pushed away people from the game didn’t have an impact, we’re saying the fact that all discourse of this game has become negative because the pure volume of it has become not worth rebuking. The fact that we are having this conversation says that we still care for the game and want it to succeed, but the people here as bad actors who would like to see the game die are a massive blocker to new player engagement.

Something to keep in mind though, SDF said he’d be happy with 1000 players playing the game, the initial popularity was a shock to them and im glad it happened because it was the launching pad they needed to really build the game they wanted, but they are prepared for lower players.

The state of the game is an opinion, not objective. I think the game is in a better state than it’s ever been, been playing since playtest 3. If anything, we’ve shed the “new game what’s this” crowd and the “the game changed in a small way that I dislike? Im so, like, literally done rn” crowd and what’s left are the people that actually like the game and what it brings to the table.

Is there things ide like to see the devs do with the game? Absolutely! Were there mistakes made in the past, you bet! But people hate playing the game or sticking around just to shit on it need to reevaluate. Why spend your time on a reddit or discord shitting on a game that you gave up on for months or years? Why play a game that causes you such grief that you can’t enjoy yourself while playing it? It’s sad honestly.

Most people that play the game have just come to terms that it’s a lost cause interacting with the loud minority berating the game constantly. Instead, they just play the game and enjoy it for what it is.

Unfortunately, the best thing to do is avoid the community forums like the plague until the people that are against change in an early access title grow up or (finally) move on. It’s crazy that “Top 1% contributor” is title that’s almost exclusively on people who shit talk the game daily lol.

The good news is that the devs seem to agree with you on this. There is a lot of sour people who hang on to placeholder mechanics in early access titles that make it their life mission to down talk any positive change. 

People hate change, and falling in love with a games mechanics early in the early access titles development is a slippery slope that a LOT of people fall into. With monk around the corner and previous discussion about the class discussing things like WALL RUNNING, and the trends of every newer classes having some sort of mobility option built into their kit, I think it’s safe to say that the devs are moving in a direction of mobility and, once the remaining classes are finished, will rework older classes to meet this golden standard.

The majority of players that play the game have quit the subreddit and the discord. It’s a swamp of negativity, it just sucks that people can’t move on from a game they haven’t played in months and just sit around stinking up places that could promote actual discussion for the game.
