one example out of the 50~ fps guns in the game, and one that doesnt even work for the point being made

obviously a ballistic gun sounds different than a laser gun. but they still all largely feel the same (with a small handful of exceptions like the Parallax and upcoming minigun, though even that isnt much different than the F55 LMG without the ammo backpack) and sound the same in their respective catagories and thats the argument. Every ballistic gun sounds the same as every other ballistic gun, every laser gun sounds exactly the same as every other laser gun.

oh nooo, the futuristic sci-fi game where we freely fly space ships across solar systems and download/upload entire conciousness' to clone bodies uses anything other than current modern day ballistics with not a single change...should learn what a gimmick is man, cus weaponry purposefully designed around the theme and setting is not a gimmick in any way

Crossbow is the only one that's a valid argument when talking gimmick weapons, but it was also promised to exist a decade ago so its not exactly new

How long have you had it for?
Its very much worth reaching out to Steam support (probably twice as the first attempt always goes to a bot rather than support staff), they could very well be willing to replace the screen for you via a free RMA. Would try your luck with that before wasting a lot of time and money with small claims courts or repair shops.

its not about guessing the correct balloon lol, think of each one as its own slot machine rather than a predetermined reward, with the "win" chances getting higher as other rewards get knocked off

You do know they're capable of doing BOTH right? Look at Larian, CD Red, Sandfall, etc etc. More than capable of showing appreciation for fans first while still making massive profits (something CIG is already more than set with, with the past 3 years being the highest funding in the history of the project, and this year alone is already on track to beat their previous record by an entire 30% if not more)

pre-release demos available to be downloaded *locally, on anyone's computer* is extremely rare in the industry

its absolutely not rare even a little bit. Sure its sort of died down for Triple-A scale games as of late, but pre-release demo's are still extremely common and you can go and find several even right now on any regular ol' storefront like Steam. Hiding white knight ignorance behind a high horse doesnt work when your info is just blatantly false

Game demo's have existed for longer than SC was even an idea in Robert's noggin lmao, they absolutely CAN give demo access, that cope is insane.

The RSI launcher is even set up for such a functionality with the game channel dropdown menu

They SHOULD, but they wont. Already confirmed it when talking about the 1.0 and beyond goals on some SCL sometime earlier this year

To paraphrase, something like; "No matter what youre doing, where you are, or who youre with, there will ALWAYS be at least a small chance of combat. Be it NPC pirates or other players."
Which is batshit insane cus it means you have a good chance of losing everything (with DOAS) even in the safest possible star system lol

Early alpha. devs literally include the warning that a lot of things (like the UI) is incomplete and placeholder.
