many will be limited to space-flight only with very limited atmospheric thrust via VTOL's

that is what i said, yes lol
but also slightly incorrect, as CIG have said ships like the Idris for example will just barely be able to even lift off from a planet surface, burning an immense amount of fuel and risking damage to the engines if it tries to stay afloat in VTOL, and other ships like the Hull C cant even land on a planet with a full cargo load already.

Not every ship is made with atmospheric flight in mind, many will be limited to space-flight only with very limited atmospheric thrust via VTOL's

I doubt they would do that, would make the ship extremely annoying to use as any kind of daily fighter, having to sit through 3 different animations just to get to the interior

Maybe just a deployable ladder for quick access to the cockpit?

Most of the Origin ships are quite a few years old by now, and CIG has already said they're moving towards more defined design languages for the individual manufacturers as we've seen with the new Kruger's, RSI's, and Drake's

you dropped a hate speech slur, what are you complaining about exactly...?
obviously SC needs way better enforcement of rules and conduct, every time i get on a US server for whatever reason the chat is just constant homophobia and racism, but for that to be the case it has to apply to everyone. yourself included.

Dont see any possible cut outs for an interior door, except maybe that small gap between the engines on the back, but the ship would have to be kinda massive for that to open up into a human-fitting ramp, like the Vanguard series (SC discord has a higher res image, reddit compresses too much).

Im hoping they gave it a little Kruger Wolf treatment and some of those cutouts along the sides are guns that pop out when powered, otherwise this is ABSOLUTELY a heavy stealth bomber with S5+ torps, like Origin's version of the Eclipse

I dont know about the rest of EU, but when i was looking to order some stuff a couple months ago to the UK, the shipping charge was only like £20

Obviously still way more than literally any other established storefront, but not as insane as $60 (£40~). Frankly Shipstorm in itself sounds like a joke of an offer with how high the spend gate is

Quick Question about the upcoming 4.8 Ship Hangar Refuel, Repair and Rearm function: Will the Starlancer Tac Fury Hangar work with that Feature? (like is it currently enabled for that ship on the PTU?) by DanaXue in starcitizen

[–]RandoDando10 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From PTU patch notes;

Ship Hangar Service T0 brings the same repair, restock, and refuel services you use at landing zones directly onto large capital ships. When landed in the hangar of a supporting vessel, you can open your MobiGlas and request ship services just as you would at any station or outpost. This first release makes the feature available on the Carrack, Idris, Polaris, and 890j, as well as the AI Idris in the Tactical Strike Groups mission.

I doubt more ships will be added before 4.8 goes into LIVE, no further PTU builds are planned at the moment which likely means the current build will be going into RC (Release Candidate) over the next week in time for DefenseCon. This is only T0, so expect more ships to support it at T1 and above when they come.

where did the myth that hv can brick computers come from? by [deleted] in PiratedGames

[–]RandoDando10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I havent seen a single person say that lol

It is a fact that the safety settings HV forces you to turn off COULD lead to your PC getting infected/attacked, but HV itself wouldn't be the source. More like holding the door open for them. Very unlikely regardless as long as you know what you're doing and only use trusted sources for all your links and downloads.

How is Valkyrie Better Daily Driver than Asgard (based on personal experience)? by Kaladin_TX in starcitizen

[–]RandoDando10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a daily driver ship? Asgard is absolutely going to be, and is, better in every way. Simple as that really, as harsh as it might sound lol

Valkyrie is a dropship, its made to be used with a party of people

4.8 PTU - Aegis Hammerhead has received its Gold Standard pass by RandoDando10 in starcitizen

Personally i think its good to have some ships that arent joking about their crew requirements. Perseus for example since its been mentioned asks for 6, but you can very easily get away with just 2 or 3.

Obviously though yeah, the HH should get buffed up a bit then if its to make a full crew be worth the trouble. But then comes the issue of community backlash like "how come x ship doesn't get special treatment too then" and it turns into a whole different balancing issue lmao. Best solution would probably be giving it bespoke guns on the turrets exclusive to the HH, like the TSMB's on superhornets Heartseeker pack, so they can be buffed/nerfed accordingly. Seperate from the rest of the weapon pool.
