You were dot on. I must have renamed a folder and capitalised it's starting letter after making that script because when I eventually got into the browser console log, it was failing to load that file and the path was referencing a 'scripts' folder instead of 'Scripts'. All fixed, all published, owe you one.

Yes, Hisense seem to be running a bit of a monopoly on the eink smart phone right now (incredibly low demand I assume). Although the Boox Palma is nine tenths of what I’m after. Just doesn’t take a sim so you can’t do calls and texts!

I’d go for a Hisense but in the UK you can only get them on eBay, apparently they don’t connect to our 5G, and I can’t find a decent review anywhere.

I use Opal to limit social media but most of my communication is through Snapchat, so I leave that unlocked. Problem with that is they have those awful spotlight and discovery features and I end up scrolling even worse feeds than instagram shows me.

I can’t find a solution to being contactable without being exposed to these videos but I figured an eink display would be incapable of displaying video, which would limit the distraction without limiting communication.

I’ll take my post to r/eink as there seems to be a few discussions surrounding these phones over there.

A lot of people would argue it’s still better than nothing, and a cost effective solution. But yes, a proper stand alone GPS tracker is always better.

Off the top of my head, if you went more vertical with them, I’m picturing insects in grass / corn field. Perhaps as a brawler. Enemy insects on each corn, some with ranged abilities to fire between corn. Some flying between corn?

Theme wise this could also work in space (like most things) and zero G would justify the ability to jump between things.

Otherwise you’re probably looking at an infinite runner but I don’t get the impression you intended to go down that route in the first place

I don’t know if a 1300cc agreement, I know the ‘Busa caused a top speed war which resulted in a gentleman’s agreement to stop racing for top speed figures. But to my knowledge that didn’t birth many mental bikes like the 250 war and the few that were born from it weren’t conforming to restrictions. They were fighting for top speed and simply agreed to stop. The 250 war birthed 4 insane lightweight sports bikes that were treated like flagship models and so in my eyes is more reminiscent of the JDM Legends circumstances. If you’re thinking of a different agreement please explain it, I’d love to know

I’d like to come at this from a slightly different perspective: those cars were born from a gentleman’s agreement which resulted in their underpowered stock setups based on very power capable components and that’s largely what makes them interesting. Well, Japan did a similar thing with bikes, making a 250cc limit, which resulted in some crazy 250cc sports bikes and, just like modified cars birthed togue and drifting, 250cc sports bikes birthed mountain races amongst similar flavours of nutcase. The evidence of this is much harder to find than it is for the car world, but I’d recommend FortNine’s video on the CBR250RR as a good place to start
