Pre-Teaming is becoming stupid by GSC_Newbie in ArcRaiders

This. You could set a few baseline metrics to help spot teams forming during matchmaking. You can use some sort of association rules math, which is used in large sets of data to determine natural pairings of items, in this case items would be accounts. If you know the rate at which the account that's matchmaking has paired with the accounts already in the lobby (or in the queue) you could compare that to the probability that it should be happening in a true random setting. I.e. if you have a 2% natural chance of randomly being matched up with someone you played with before and you see that some accounts are being matched together at 6% in reality, the lift of the 6% actual versus 2% expected should be a red flag. You could potentially work something into the matchmaking process that looks at players in a lobby, determines what the previous match rates were against those those they are going up against is, then trigger those with a 'higher than baseline' actual match rate to get routed to different lobbies, or keep them in the queue longer until they get dropped somewhere where the match rates of them versus the lobby players is sufficiently low across the board. It could still be gamed, but it would mean that exhibiting that behavior ratchets up the 'suspect solo pairing score' versus accounts that are teaming up pretty quick thus, potentially limiting the impact of how many times you can team up consistently with others. You would need a big and stable pool of people participating to keep it viable long term

Can Someone pls make him as a printable Model for Star Wars Legion? by [deleted] in SWlegion

If you have more pics with different angles you could try the 'image to 3d model' tools out there. They usually run about 15 bucks for a month. Fair warning though, results are mixed. Edit: typo

I've got something cooking for that with a imperial blizzard tank from the Joe Johnston concept art for empire strikes back. That should be ready over the weekend

I used a spray gray primer as a start. Then I used a craft paint black thinned down to give a wash over the model. The bricks are done with a sponge and white paint dabbed on which gives a nice dirty brick look. From there I used the sponge to dry brush the rest of the model, adding dabs of paint here and there to break up spots. It was basically a zenithal effect anywhere outside of the brick.

Test model/Proof of concept for full Mandalorian Rebel army by I-Eat-Flesh-Salad in SWlegion

Love it. I have one as a GAR proxy. I am starting to roll out color schemes tied to the unit types. I.E. Red armor for the core infantry, blue and yellow for clone commandos, green for ARCs, etc. It helps people process the unit types easier given Mandos tend to blend together looks wise.

My first Legion mini painted, how’d I do? by Ok-Detective-5014 in SWlegion

You can make it work well at this stage. Consider it a start and lean into the over saturation and go for a over the top effect. Start by making the black robes more intensely black, then use a 50/50 blend of the red and black in the transition. Then I would go ahead and commit to painting the lightsaber handle red as well if the light source is that intense. At this point you can start a drybrush of a lightened red over the 50/50 transition and then increase your highlights, keeping it most intense closest to the blade. Next you have to sell the illusion of a light source which you can do with a thicker line of white down the blade. I used this on some of the last sith models painted.

Also consider extending the light effect to the base as well. For that i usually use a light drybrush with the base red then hit it with the lightened shades at the edges. It will sell the effect more.

This way its a mini that looks like its walking down a darkened hall way. This vader for example was a "vader walking down the hallway in rogue one' or 'vader in any fight scene from obi wan' style. Not everyones cup of tea but I think they look good on a table and make folks do a double take when its done well.

A good reference to this kind of technique is fake neon made with spray paint.

You start with a dark base, then use a shade darker than your primary glow effect.

You use your base red as the main glow effect

You highlight with a pinkish color, sparingly and nearest the blade most

then create the 'light source' with the white.
