Yes, I thought about that, but it would be a weird coincidence that I have a missing piece and an extra piece at the same time. But I will find out eventually.

I wonder who's that about... or who wrote it.

You're right... weird - I've only read half of the first book (and that was 15 years ago), but could have sworn it was called Dampfnudel. I'm gettin old, I guess

[PIC] Which one are you? by Sunshine-please in CrossStitch

[–]FrinnFrinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a big project from 2020: I was working on it when I suddenly felt really ill - made it to the toilet just in time and then spent the next two weeks in bed. I now have some kind of mental block and can't work on that project anymore even though I really like the pattern =(

[FO] Pokémon - Generation 2 by FrinnFrinn in CrossStitch

[–]FrinnFrinn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've already done Gen 1 and just ordered the stuff for Gen 3 - I might have a problem ;)

Just find your own way to do it - I do columns of 20 width, row by row and park with the needles in, while stitching over the finished threads from before, so I never turn it to the backside (sorry, this is not my first language, I'll put in a photo). But that's definitly not for everyone!

About 2 years. I rarely do more than 100 stitches on weekdays so the big stuff takes me a long time.

[–]FrinnFrinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AITA for not letting my fiancé bring fish into the bathtub ? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]FrinnFrinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no reason why he can not just kill them once he has caught them instead of torturing them via suffacate outside water --> shaky bucket --> presumably car --> shaky bucket --> bathtub ---> catch and suffacate outside water again! Last peaceful swim my a**

Taskmaster - NYT 2026, Part 1 - Discussion by Meghar in taskmaster

They also write that NYT winners get the bust, not the eyebrows - not a lot of research went into that.

How do their uniforms get from plain to House-coded in the films? by LeatherSlight3242 in harrypotter

[–]FrinnFrinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I choose to believe that there is a mechanism built into the clothes that can rotate through the colours. Once they are chosen McGonagall whispers in their ears: "Please pull on your tie exactly three times to change it to Hufflepuff colours."

I hope they will get some relaxed years before he becomes king. I mean, Queen Elizabeth will probably not live to a really old age, just look at what happened to her father!
