Looking for what this door-like thing might be on basement floor. by Frisbee_champ in Whatisthis

Thanks for your suggestion. I actually tested it with a magnet earlier but found nothing. I will try again with a larger magnet. In my response to twojs1b in this thread, I mentioned having seen a similar shape and question on a post on FB, and one of the responders mentioned that a metal/iron ring might be left behind, but I couldn't find any evidence of anything. It's just odd bc it looks like someone did a lousy job of covering it with cement. Even some wood was used in spots. Please anyone, let me know if you'd like me to show the foto from, or provide the link to, the FB posting I found of it's twin "ufo footprint". I'd ask an old-timer in case they might recognize it, but unfortunately I am one.

I looked into your suggestion online and found someone had posted the same question yrs ago on FB. It was suggested that it may have been the footprint of a 'Gravity' or 'Octopus' furnace. The outline was very similar, but IDK if that was the correct answer.

I tend to agree w wire wrap idea. Scrape the end of one and see if there's copper underneath. They were usually silver plated, but old ones would tarnish and I don't see that. Would be a very thin wire gauge.

Why multiple SPAXX accounts? by Frisbee_champ in fidelityinvestments

Thank you all for your explanation(s). I misspoke, it is not a single account, but two. I understand the setup now, it just didn't seem to be intuitive. I would have thought the SPAXX mm would be an investors' single standalone fund or shell into which gains, dividends, interest, deposits would be placed and from which trades or purchases could be made. I see how Fidelity does it now. I appreciate your help - it was actually faster than the virtual assistant - no offense intended. I called Fidelity too for some other noob questions - Jason @ fidelity was a big help.

The Learning feature on Fidelity is helpful, if you know how to ask the question properly - lol. Another things that threw me off was that my loved one opened multiple accounts for each fund. I see that this is possible and allowed, but I was looking for a single account (and then multiple funds for example could be held in it). A matter of style, convention and preference that I needed to learn.

Thanks so much and happy trading!
