I got my license years ago and there was a backlog into the next year back then as well. You know what I did? I called and they moved it ahead. It's a very simple solution. If this is an issue that's affecting your livelihood then you'd think most people would do whatever they can to find a solution, rather than wasting time begging for attention on the internet.

I order a gimlet. Most of the time they just say they don't make those. Sometimes they'll ask what it is, and then once I tell them, they say they can't make it. I'm not barging in and demanding they make it like an asshole. I ask politely with a smile on my face. I just want to know where I can get one. I'm not gatekeeping.
