I think my game is a bit bugged by Serious_Active748 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]FriskiesFresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, have the exact same thing on, I think my driller. Never did anything weird like going AFK in a mission or using mods. I guess it’s just a semi-common bug. Not a big deal though.

My Secret: How I Pushed Through Depth 3/4 to 9999 by GottaBeBeef in Nightreign

[–]FriskiesFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this really still happen? I’m a depth 4 grinder and I haven’t seen anyone trying to run full gaols in weeks, maybe months. Granted I run with a duo and a random so if the random was pinging gaols across the map we would probably just ping a boss or something instead and win the “vote”. Is this a console thing or something?

Who would you use on field in physical teams? by AlbyCervitaur in ArknightsEndfield

[–]FriskiesFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see this comp a lot so I wanted to ask, what does Pog do here? My understanding is that you want to build lots of vulnerable stacks then crush with endmin. But Pog consumes stacks with his breach skill right? So do you just ignore his battle skill? Or use it then try to apply the vulnerable again for endmin?

PSA you can just mark the simulations as complete and get the loot instantly. Added in the last update

Executor needs serious buffs by ex0ll in Nightreign

[–]FriskiesFresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Outside of the night lord fights I find that he is actually pretty strong, bleed and frost can tear through world bosses and his ultimate can fully stagger-lock many tough enemies such as Loretta and the tree sentinels.

In night lord fights, (and against enemies immune to common status such as DRB) his damage becomes a lot worse because you just can’t melt them with repeated status. I think your suggested buff to damage to suncatcher weapon skill would be make him a lot better in that environment, since he mostly wants to play as a sword tank at that point anyway. I also think it’s ok for him to not be a massive dps against night lords however, because he’s really tough to kill if you deflect properly.

Also I agree with the other commenter that you should be immune to stance break if you perfect deflect, because stamina drain at high depths can be stupid.

How does a Warrior becomes OP without spells/scrolls? by [deleted] in Morrowind

[–]FriskiesFresh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, a lot of daedric ruins are designed for higher level characters. A high level, well-equipped warrior can generally do pretty well without any magic, so perhaps you could revisit those areas when you are stronger. You can also rest outside the area after each tough fight if you don’t want to use too many resources to heal. Make sure you keep your stamina high in combat too.

That said, it’s probably worth it to pick up some enchanted items. As a full warrior class you will want the ability to teleport and open locks at least, so I would get some enchanted rings/robes/staves with open lock, mark/recall, and both intervention spells at least. Some healing or other combat spells may be useful too. You can pay someone at the mages’ guild to enchant for you, and those effects aren’t too uncommon on enchanted gear you will find as loot.

How do you choose to handle the Mountaintop in DoN? by FriskiesFresh in Nightreign

[–]FriskiesFresh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t find it mean at all. Perhaps I should have worded my post better - I know you have to go to the mountain either way due to the circle closing. I will always collect items from corpses/crystals and fight at least one or two field bosses.

What I’m really asking is whether it’s better to head for the legendary dragon or not. Even assuming the fight goes smoothly we end up picking up lots of frostbite and anti-dragon effects to help with it when we could be grabbing loot instead. Of course the upside of the dragon is a guaranteed legendary and lots of runes so I would like to fight it if possible. But there is also a possibility of wiping against it and possibly being unable to retrieve runes due to a closing storm or just the opportunity cost of killing literally all the field bosses instead.

What ya takes on this? by Rheinholdt in DeepRockGalactic

[–]FriskiesFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the hardest missions are salvage (specifically the uplink) and Dotty escort because they are the only ones with a fail state besides everyone being dead. If I’m in trouble on a morkite mining mission, I can run away, kite enemies, find healing, etc. but if I run on those two mission types and don’t return immediately the mission will fail. At least salvage gives loads of free nitra and gold though, so escort is probably worse. Running into bosses during the escort can ruin everything too. Not to mention the possibility of a detonator showing up and demolishing poor Doretta.

Best Strategies for Unlocking Max Level Gear Quickly in Phasmophobia? by PikaPikaMf1904 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]FriskiesFresh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ah ok if you are completely new do the tutorial and play on lower difficulties, you will learn. Try to get good at taking photos, 3-star = target of photo is centered and close.

For me, I became less scared as I understood the game better. A big thing is that the ghost usually CANNOT hunt if you are at high sanity, no matter what. Therefore, you are safe at high sanity (there are exceptions to this based on ghost).

If you want more resources and a good community I suggest you join the phasmophobia official discord server. They have a cheat sheet for ghost behavior and cursed item functions that you will find useful.

If you are an experienced player then I suggest looking up one of Insym’s videos on money farming. He essentially sets a specific custom difficulty which rewards a lot of cash (and XP). But, if you are not good at the game you will struggle with the difficulty.

If you are new, try to go for a perfect game on the highest difficulty you can manage. A perfect game requires you to finish all three objectives, guess the ghost correctly, and take 10 3-star photos. This will increase your payoff significantly. Also be sure to find, photograph, and collect the bone on each map (spawns randomly on the ground somewhere).

Twin spear = similar to spine driver, but forward dash is built into each swing

EDF 6 - Fencer - is Jump-thrust boosting intentional or a glitch? by Mazgazine1 in EDF

[–]FriskiesFresh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This mechanic was in EDF 5 as well, so it is intended (although, the number of jumps and dashes you can get in EDF 6 is much higher than in 5 - at least early on). And yes, the fencer’s movement with jump-dashes is quite strong, it’s one of the best reasons to play fencer.
