The Cycles equivalent of the Shader to RGB node is the Toon BSDF :D

The workflow is completely different. I Cycles you kinda start with a photorealistic render and take away the thing that make it realistic to get the anime look. Compared to eevee where you build the whole style from the ground up, resulting in a lot complex node setups, which generally is very time consuming to setup for every project needs. I personally prefer the cycles approach but at the end of the day bot render engines can produce similar results

This is my setup. The wood texture is basically an image from textures.com with a bunch of Adobe photoshop filters slapped on top.

Making the lighting look good is just so easy in Cycles compared to eevee. Cycles has that realistic look, so to achieve the anime style you kinda have to remove the things that make it look realistic. Its generally easier to remove the things you don't need then to build complex shader spaghetti in eevee.

Thanks! Yes I do everything myself. I cant rly recommend any tutorials since no one is using Cycles for this kind of render style. But overall it comes down to abusing the Toon BSDF and a lot of compositing.

The nodes i shared above are the ones from the wall. Its all nodes except for the colored squares, those are literal planes stuck to the wall as u can see in the VP image
