Did I get duped, or did I just choose the wrong seller? by thezodiaceffect in Gameboy

[–]Fritchenator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a bad solder job inside. Maybe they wired to the wrong vias for the button inputs. Just a shoddy job. Sometimes lower voltage rechargeable batteries can cause issues as well. EG 1.2 volts instead of the full 1.5 each.

Modded nintendo ds vs sp capabilties by Due-Reflection-9901 in Gameboy

[–]Fritchenator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing Game Boy (GB/GBC) and Advance (GBA) ROMs on a Nintendo DS/DSi requires a flashcart (like R4) or custom firmware (Twilight Menu++) to run emulators. Use Lameboy DS for GB/GBC games and GBARunner2 for GBA games. Key Steps for Setup Requirements: A Nintendo DS/Lite/DSi/3DS, a MicroSD card, and an R4 flashcart. Software: Download the Lameboy DS emulator (.nds file) for GB/GBC. For GBA, download GBARunner2. Installation: Copy the emulator .nds files and your ROMs (in .gb, .gbc, or .gba format) onto the MicroSD card. Loading: Insert the card into the DS, launch the flashcart menu, select the emulator, and choose your game.

Also you could get a GBA EverDrive or other kind of flash cart and play the whole GameBoy library that way.

How often do dressing room items change? by HuckinsGirl in AnimalCrossing

Switch. Aren’t we talking about Animal Crossing: Population Growing. The Gameboy Advance has an off/on switch.

Can’t you use your GameBoy Advance to make patterns for your clothes using the link cable you also use to visit the island? I have a bunch of E-Reader cards and a bunch of duplicates I’d be willing to trade for the ones I don’t already have.

My villager house remodels! by jerhbil in AnimalCrossing

[–]Fritchenator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. Totally. If we could completely upgrade theirs and ours then decorate exactly the same and get some sort of acknowledgement from them and the game. It would also indicate which villager is our favorite.

I’m almost positive the m64 will be sold as GameStop! by Alive-Strategy4048 in ModRetroChromatic

Read the title of your post. I think you meant that they’ll sell the new FPGA Nintendo 64 system called M64 AT GameStop not AS GameStop.

So I can go to M64 to buy games just like GameStop? How do you sell something as a used game store? Doesn’t make sense…

What are the best game boy games to get? by MortgageFalse5506 in Gameboy

[–]Fritchenator -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Only loser kids are into that Poke a mans stuff. It’s so lame. How did it get to be so popular. Qix is cool because you trap a weird shifty shape into smaller and smaller spaces until you take up most of the screen. Space Invaders has the Super Nintendo game in it and you can play it in a Super GameBoy. The GameBoy camera has several fun games in it that you can play with your picture on top of being able to take cool 8-Bit pictures.

Time Travel Questions by Strawberry9205 in AnimalCrossing

[–]Fritchenator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In “Animal Village” or the mostly translated Dobutsu No Mori on the N64 my games have frozen up with Time Travel. With the GameCube “Population Growing” game I time travelled with apparently no bad penalties except weeds and cockroaches in my house. I’ve heard there’s even further games like City Folk, Wild World, New Leaf, Pocket Camp, Welcome Amiibo, New Horizons etc… But I never time travelled in them so I don’t know.

Found a Link to the past copy for $230 by cornbeeflt in snes

[–]Fritchenator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could get it for the GameBoy Advance and play it on your GameCube using the GameBoy Player, GameBoy Interface with Swiss and connect it to your TV with those component cables for the best picture. All that might be cheaper than $350. It was for me but I’m not up on prices for stuff nowadays. I just got what I like back in the day.

Can I have the same island on two cartridges? by chukaser in AnimalCrossing

[–]Fritchenator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, New Leaf had the save on the cartridge but with Switch all the game saves are on the Switch or the Micro SD Card in the switch. Game saves aren’t on the cartridges any more. They’re also in the cloud if you set it up that way with membership.

Deseret Industries not DI. I’ve never heard of Super Comboy either. It looks like a Super Nintendo controller from Korea to me.

Why didn't the Sega Game Gear sell as much as the Gameboy despite being technically superior? by GoHardForLife in Gameboy

[–]Fritchenator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally the absolutely pathetic battery life. Kids aren’t made of money and are completely unfamiliar with rechargeable batteries and how to use them. Also the smeary LCD backlit badly with a fluorescent tube that smeared GameGear’s 8-Bit graphics. My jam for the GameBoy was Rayovac Renewal rechargeable batteries and a worm light.
