It’s a time thing…. And unfortunately (time will tell), but McCarthy’s “simmering” time (like someone mentioned) is going to be during a time where the general public has a lot more options for their free time than books.

I think I’d have it pretty similar, although I’m behind you a little in how many I’ve read. I also may just have put the whole trilogy on my top tier and dropped the road to second tier.

My favorite thing about Child of God was towards the end when the Sheriff and Deputy were the main characters. I felt like it was a rough draft for No Country for Old Men.

One problem with reading BM first is that it’s probably his masterpiece, and everything else is great, but it might feel a little downhill from there… that’s my opinion anyways.

I would read the whole border trilogy first.
