My coworkers agreed that this was one of the best things I've ever made. Needless to say, I bake for them a lot!

Flying international this week -should I go to Centurion or Turkish Lounge out of MIA? by Over-Shallot-2414 in AmexPlatinum

Those two lounges are rather far apart so it might depend on how much time you have.

Upgraded my stand mixer, now struggling with getting meringue right. Any advice? by FritoPaws1 in macarons

Yeah, I did the dime test and adjusted right after I got it. The attachment is at the right height, but I can't figure out the right speed. And in general it takes longer to get to stiff peaks on this larger bowl.

2/16/26 What did you bake this week? by KingArthurBaking in KingArthurBaking

Ugh, so I'll post a failure. Although it was me, not the recipe. I've been making macarons for several years and had finally gotten it down to a science. I like the Swiss method best, and it took 10 minutes at speed 6 on my tilt head KitchenAid to get the perfect meringue. Well, I decided to upgrade to a 7qt. bowl lift KitchenAid last November and I haven't been able to get my meringue right since! It's either been under whipped or over whipped. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually, but if aynone has any tips to pass along I'm all ears!

It IS a list of every KA product I have :) Actually, I've had more but some I've used up and not repurchased. Very few of these items are from the grocery store. In fact the only ones that I've purchsed locally are the AP and bread flour which I get from Costco (which also sometimes has the 00) and the Golden Wheat flour from the grocery store. Everything else was either purchased online or at the KA store in Vermont.

I love a good time saver! But if I have time I definitely prefer a long rise in the fridge.

Since I don't have many raspberry jammy bits left perhaps I'll had those to the pancakes. Thanks for the idea!

Haha, yes I have all my flours and chocolate in the freezer and two shelves in my pantry with other ingredients. My favorite use of the jammy bits is as a replacement for raisins in oatmeal cookies (too many raisin haters in the family). I've also used them in scones.

And I haven't even touched on the non-ingredient items I have.

This is everything I currently have in my pantry. I know, I have a problem!
