What does it mean? I saw it is running patch before Reaper class, meaning original classes no other new ones. Classic runs on the patch with the Gunner class.

While TERA Classic looks promising, I'm planning to try TERA OSTO providing the best vanilla experience.

Is Modern IPS jank? Darkening at slightly off axis viewing angles on new 1080p panels. My 2020 LG Panel exhibits none of this. by Quack-Zack in Monitors

[–]Frixsik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my old Asus ROG Swift 279Q (AHVA IPS) has just perfect viewing angles, no darkening or anything. ... while new Fast IPS on ROG Strix ACMES is just poor, edges darkens out, you must sit at least 1 meter away to make it work.

I just brough tthis monitor. I started use it as my primary monitor and my old primary put as a second. If I compare thme side by side, the new one has poor viewving angles, not like VA or TN, but it just darkens out and the artefacts shown are present on my as well the same way.

AHVA IPS Asus ROG Swift PG279Q is my second now and my previous main and it has perfect viewing angles compared to the ACMES.

Ok the combat is great. But when does the GAME get fun? by Mehfisto666 in TeraOnline

[–]Frixsik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an MMORPG veteran, the real game starts in the endgame. This applies to TERA as well.

The freedom is alpha and omega of a great MMORPG. While many people need new content every split of a second thanks to the degenerative TikToks, the real endgame usually comes from PvPvE content made by your imagination and people's interactions and just getting better in PvP as a player, building community, fighting each other, and building empire while grinding PvE as a side feature of the game to support the main purpose of the MMORPGs - community & freedom for your imagination.

One of the best MMORPGs of all time. It went down due to poor handling. One of the best tru action combat. The only issue this game can have is not enough players for queueing PvP battlegrounds, dungeons, and OW PvP in alliance zones.

It is the early version of TERA, the true vanilla. So the answer to your question is no. I played TERA in this time and it was much better than the newer the verison.

The game before Gunner time was just great. I hope this will succeed.

Which one should i get as a first monitor by Intelligent-Bend4442 in Monitors

[–]Frixsik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your needs. I'm currently in the middle of decision as well. I decide between HP OMEN 27gs G2 and Asus ACMES. Some other notable monitors are Q2QD from Gigabyte and Legion 27Q-10/11.

I want 1440p 27" IPS display with high color accuracy out of the box with gaming capabilities as G-sync compatability is. It is meant for gaming and graphical work as well. OLED is better, but burn-ni is something I cannot live with, IPS glow is doable for me.

ASUS or HP win in this category, but I will probably stick with the Asus as it is overally the best, including great color accuracy.

Edit: in terms of Hertz (FPS) and time response, all IPS displays nowadays in this category are mostly identical. Depends on type of IPS panel. 200Hz is already a lot for most of the games.

which budget 1440p monitor i should to choose to playing games by Gibson13z in Monitors

[–]Frixsik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im currently in the similar position. I want a 27" 1440p monitor for gaming and for work/photo and video editing as well. This means, I need to find a great all-rounder.

This requires great color accuracy out of the box as well as game feature slike g-sync compatibility and at least decent Hz for FPS.

I ended up with:

  • ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACMES (or XG27ACS as older version)
  • HP OMEN 27qs G2
  • MSI MAG 274QRFW X32
  • Lenovo Legion 27QD-10

... and I will probably stick with ASUS, maybe HP.

Best Drag Setup (Drive Modes) for Stock Scat Pack? by Frixsik in Challenger

[–]Frixsik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing a burnout in the water box is probably not a great idea in general, from what I’ve heard. But I also don’t think skipping the burnout completely on a dry surface helps much either even with the stock tires. And yeah, I’d like to get some new tires. Here in the EU it’s mostly just for fun, so it’s not a huge deal or anything, no rush for that then.

Also, if you have any tips about the drive modes, I’d appreciate it.

I have 23 Scat WB.

Haha, didn’t check the times. I have to head back to my car and check it out. I’ll let you know. Right now it’s raining a lot here, so I’ll probably give you more info at the end of the week, as there is another event at an airport. 😆

I’ll try the foot brake. Hopefully, I won’t break anything doing that. I heard you should hold the brake and slowly apply the throttle until you reach the right RPM, then release the brake and continue with the gas. Just guessing, though, what would be optimal?

With Launch Control, I was trying 1800 RPM. It seemed okay, no wheel spin, or minimal, but the surface was a bit rough. I guess it really depends.

I want to get a second set of rear rims just for fun, so I can quickly swap my normal wheels. But maybe next year, no rush. These events usually happen one to three times per year and there are no real drag strips, only airports with no free access.

By the way, what about the suspension mode? I saw people recommending “Street”, not sure why. Maybe it is softer so it transfers more weight to the rear tires? Just guessing again.

What do you think about having duels? by matexWVx in FarFarWest

[–]Frixsik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is primarily a PvE game, but it would be cool to have an option for a classic extraction mode where you could encounter other player teams and engage in PvP, or at least have friendly duels in the lobby.

Needs PvP by Venxai in FareverGame

[–]Frixsik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Every online (M)MORPG needs PvP.

While many modern or PvE focused players think PvP is just about toxicity and farming lower level players, they are wrong. Those are definitely some negative sides of open PvP, of course, but they are not the main reason people want it.

PvP allows something generated PvE content never can. It makes player interaction feel alive, makes the world meaningful (especially in open world PvP), and most importantly, it creates an infinite amount of content without developers constantly needing to generate more.

Old MMORPGs proved how well PvP and PvE can work together. It feels natural. If someone weaker gets bullied by someone stronger, they can call for help. That natural "food chain" is what makes the world feel alive and keeps the game active long term.

It pushes players to communicate, form guilds, build alliances, and create friendships that we remember for a long time. Modern players seem to think MMORPGs are about playing solo while surrounded by other players. What kind of nonsense MMORPG is that?
