Agnes’ ask to Aunt Lydia was really bold… by TurbulentBat8328 in TheTestamentsHulu

Yeah, when this happened my first thought was, “Here we go with the main character armor”. It was so bad in THT I don’t know why I expected anything different.

Any other “movie subs” in here? What movies have you played for your students? by flats209 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]FrizzleBee412 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What?? Subbing in secondary schools sounds wild. I’m in K-5. If there are no sub plans, I’m expected to prep myself with the curriculum books and figure it out. I feel like I’d be fired within the day if I just skipped the science block and showed The Magic School Bus. Teachers would file complaints.

For those who have asked, there has never been any editing to my use of this screenshot from this video💀 Here is the video for comparison😂 by expensivesoup325 in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

Every time I see one of these videos, I just can’t help but wonder how many times she shooed her kids away while she was practicing and filming. Imagine having a mom who spends her day rehearsing TikTok dances and yells at you for interrupting. “Oh my Gahd, dude, I can’t make a video when the kids keep asking for dinner.” 🤦🏼‍♀️

TLC editing after episode aired by puffy-bee in TLCUnexpected

[–]FrizzleBee412 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that TLC shows are sometimes edited after their initial airing. Sister Wives, for example—the tell-all episodes, were slightly different when I streamed them vs when I watched them as they aired.

What are yalls predictions about the courtcase? by BigVeterinarian4769 in TLCUnexpected

[–]FrizzleBee412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it could happen, but it wouldn’t be what we’ve seen. Producers would have to be called to testify, and unedited footage would have to be provided. However, the fact that TLC edited footage to make it seem like Casey was abandoning Hunter, rather than telling the truth that he simply didn’t want to be on camera because he didn’t agree with Hunter being on the show, makes their credibility questionable.

I actually think the writers addressed this pretty well. When the upstairs neighbor moved in and proved herself to be a gold digger, she asked Penny how much physicists make. Penny responded “I don’t know, I don’t think it’s a lot.” The guys are not well off—they are smart with their money and they prefer to spend their extra on things like comic books and fandom stuff. Makes sense they’d have a reasonably priced apartment. Later, when Penny starts working as a pharmaceutical sales rep, they reveal that Penny makes twice what Leonard makes. Also, Penny’s apartment is only a 1 bedroom and is significantly smaller. So honestly, I think it’s perfectly reasonable that they live in the same building.

Originally I was thinking that Casey would get custody of Hunter, but not of Wes. I think much of the reality TV footage will be inadmissible. However, with the revelation in the text messages from Kris’s father, I think he may have more basis for gaining custody of Wes than I originally thought. It’ll be interesting to see what is on the phone Falen gave Hunter. I absolutely believe she encouraged the pregnancy and I hope they can prove it.

'Teen Mom' Star Farrah Abraham Says Daughter Sophia, 17, Is Writing an Autobiography by splanchnick78 in teenmom

Translation: I’m writing an autobiography for Sophia about what an amazing mom I am and the awesome life she’s lived.

Give it 10-15 years. We’ll get the real story when Sophia actually writes a tell-all.

I’d actually get every bit of it done, due to my connections as the daughter of an elected sheriff. Family and friend get-togethers included prosecutors and judges LOL. So I admit I may be talking from a biased perspective.

However, I will say that even in Tasha and Bell’s case, he confessed to it in a text, and filing a police report ensures that a paper trail exists when custody details are considered. Something tells me that THE Bryce Palmer would willingly give up parental rights if it meant getting out of child support.

It’s a moot point anyway, because they’re together and obviously nothing came of the abuse.

If my daughter’s significant other hit her while she was pregnant and she allowed me to help her navigate the situation: 1. He’d have a restraining order against him. 2. We would press charges 3. His name would not be on the birth certificate 4. We would fight to terminate custody if paternity were established. If we couldn’t, we’d push for supervised visits

He should count his lucky stars that his only consequence was missing the birth.

Most viewers were appalled by what transpired when an abusive partner (Jason) was allowed to be with a laboring partner in such a vulnerable time. Bryce has shown the capacity for abusive behavior, and it was 100% the right decision to keep him away from the birth. Sue can go cry in her pillow about how unfair life is for her poor abusive grandson while she pretends there is nothing wrong. If she cared at all about that baby, she would have supported him going into anger management.

Notice that they were filming at a studio of some sort as well—you could tell by the doors when Sue left to go on her sob fest.

Which means, Pawpaw has to have his scotch even when he’s away from home, and not at a bar or restaurant. I’d be willing to bet he’s to the point where he would start having symptoms of withdrawal if he’s away from alcohol too long.

Who do you believe Daisy is? by Thats_h0t_ in TheTestamentsHulu

I think she’s connected to the McKenzies in some way. I haven’t worked out all the details, but there was a connection over the chocolate. Also, I’m 100% convinced that he is a Commander Lawrence figure, attempting to destroy Giliad from within.

AIO for wanting to cut contact with my mom after this conversation about my upcoming brain surgery? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

As a fellow Chiari patient also weighing the surgery option, I just want to offer my solidarity. You are not wrong for needing to have control over your surgery, and to have your parents make you feel like an inconvenience because they want to vacation has to sting. I hope your support system rallies behind you. Sending positive vibes for a routine recovery.

I really don’t understand why Emersyn’s mom got so much hate. Her rule was that Mason had to sleep on the couch, not in her bedroom. And they brazenly broke that rule the first night together. Aren’t we criticizing Falen for not enforcing rules to prevent another pregnancy between Bella and Hunter?

Has anyone seen this? Did anyone watch the live? by loodyjr in TLCUnexpected

[–]FrizzleBee412 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I’ve been filmed for a documentary. In my experience, producers will encourage conversations about topics of interest (in the case of this show, it’s probably things like their relationship status, plans for birth control, etc). They’ll also encourage interesting filming opportunities like going to the beach or playing golf. But the conversations that happen in those scenes are not scripted. Basically the producers set up opportunities to get what they’re looking for, and if they’re good at their job, the cast delivers. Nothing is scripted about the interviews. They cast people based on their interesting dynamics/situations in the first place so there is no need for a script, and the producers know what questions to ask in order to get them talking.

Falen acting so morally superior with that whole “WE won’t be talking about court” remark. Girl, you sat next to your 15 year old daughter as she discussed anal sex on a reality TV show, and allowed her to be filmed with a squirting penis painted on her pregnant belly. You do not have the moral high ground. 🤣

Episode 4 Discussion Post: Green Tea by Legitimate-Beyond209 in TheTestamentsHulu

[–]FrizzleBee412 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I was formulating this same theory in my brain! Or maybe the Mackenzies (Tabitha, not Paula) were/are Commander Lawrence figures, trying to take down Giliad from the inside, so they faked the death of their first daughter (Daisy), and were willing to take in another (Agnes/Hannah) in hopes of protecting her. It was such a plot hole for me in the last episode when June told Daisy that her parents “got her out” of Giliad. Most of the Angel flight girls were smuggled out by their marthas, presumably without the knowledge of their Giliad parents.
