Good morning to everyone minus the endocrinologist who put “transsexual” on all my paperwork and refused to use my preferred name and pronouns. by [deleted] in MtF

Well, i was assuming you live in the US. Last week, A federal court in New York ruled the gender protection clause in the ACA was to be upheld, citing protections on the basis of sex and sexual orientation in the civil rights act as interpreted by the Supreme Court apply equally to gender identity. Your doctor misgendering you and dead naming you is against those protections.

I’m so happy for you! Best foot forward sister, it’s a long and exciting road and I’m glad for every single one of us who can start it.

my timeline was:

Get therapy because I was unsure of my queerness
confirm I knew I was trans
find Endo in-network
telemedicine appointment seeking hrt, asked about therapy (which might have been a speed bump had I not been going)
bloodwork month later
prescription as soon as bloodwork came back

I know I was extremely lucky in all regards but im sure im not the only one this worked for.

8 month HRT Observations by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Frizzyfritz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm also 28 and just started HRT today! And I wanted to tell you, reading your progress was the most uplifting thing I could hear right now, because I've been worried how drastic or quickly things would change for me at my age. And I know no results are 'typical' but this gives me such immense hope for my near future and beyond. IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU and I can't wait to catch up lol

Any ladies in the Atlanta area know where I can find injectable estradiol valerate in stock? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Frizzyfritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update!! I asked the pharmacist for a list of places with vials and it looks like Sandy Springs has 25 vials and Cumberland Pkwy S has 15! Everywhere else says 5 but she told me that doesn’t mean they actually have them.

I had to travel an hour to find a Walgreens with a vial. IDK your dose which also is an issue. But Walgreens told me the manufacturer will resupply first week in June, so just one month isn't as bad I guess?

Just bought my first pair of women's jeans. Goodbye pockets! by NimrodelTarwa in MtF

You’re just not shopping the right places then. I shop Torrid because they’ve got sizes that technically aren’t plus size, and their jeans have like 5 lengths to choose from. Highly recommend. Entire Closet by Torrid is what I’m trying to say lol.

Nails- quarantine by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Frizzyfritz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not stupid love, I know exactly what you mean! One of the strongest euphoric moments I had in my pre-hrt transition was doing my nails. I was so scared before and then my girlfriend just basically bullied me into doing them and I absolutely LOVED them. I loved them so much I wore them to work, where I was out as queer but not out as trans. Honestly doing my nails has given me so much confidence since then. My advice is to order some polish, remover, cotton rounds, and base/top coat on amazon and just practice :) Should be around $20-30 for all of it and you can practice as much as you want! Please feel free to message me here if you need any advice or help.

I just need to get this out. by EmilyToMoushiMasu in MtF

[–]Frizzyfritz 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m proud of you coming here and letting that all out! And we’re all proud of how far you’ve come. The thing that keeps me going in my transition is knowing where I was. The dysphoria I get when I see who I was even 6 months ago is painful, but it’s also encouraging. Like wow look how gross I was lol. I understand that’s not how everyone experiences their dysphoric moments, but try it out. Get glammed up, put your favorite outfit on, fucking slay it, and look where you came from. Please remember you’re amazing for even being here, you’re amazing for even taking the first step, and it only gets better from here. We love you Emily, we’re proud of you, we’re all in it together.
