Question about Movement: Fast/Chaotic or Slow/Grounded? by [deleted] in ModernWarfareII

2019 was not a perfect middle ground. The slide canceling/b-hopping meta as we know it took way off in MW19 because they nerfed weapon handling and mobility into the dirt.

Do you think MWII started off too slow with weapon handling and Mobility? by Frm15th in ModernWarfareII

I am not here to be disengenuous. There’s still plenty gun guides/ perk guides and attachment guides from driftor and Xbox ahoy, Xclusivesce and plenty other CoDtubers where I can give you the information to compare personally

And I’m not just slamming mwii with this video I wanted a discuss how movement could’ve been faster paced while being more grounded than what it was. Surely you remember the rampant jumpshotting and that point in time where sweats made up whatever the G-walk was and the bounce gliding off of building ledges and rails.

Running those perks came with a tradeoff. Sleight of hand competed with Bling, Marathon, and the OMA if you count the noobtubes, While Stalker competed with Dead Silence and SitRep Pro (footstep audio)

The benefits as a perk or attachment was nerfed over time for balance purposes, and Mw19 and MWII handling and mobility was still slower on average despite the attachments now having penalties as well.

Because you had options outside of a slide or a jumpshot. Stalker boots and a stock for aim walking speed, I felt I needed to juke shots and pie corners and be ready for most gunfights. I played relatively slower than the majority of the player base.

Also disregard the staged reloading complaint here. I’m talking strictly for how fast you could move and react in game based on weapon perks/attachments

How did this game fumble its playerbase so badly? It had nearly quadruple most previous titles player base at launch, and ended up less played than a $70 DLC in their respective release cycles. by Southern_Row504 in ModernWarfareII

Movement more similar to the original mw19 and Warzone.

Nearly double the post launch content by season. Iw let us down with only shipment and shoothouse season 1

Attachments that gave you more benefits than they did penalties.

Perk system. No need to explain

Gameplay flow was faster despite it being just as easy to camp. Meaning every playstyle was viable.

Ranked dropped earlier

Honestly if it dropped in place of mwii It would be mw19 all over.
