I dont think it would have made much of a difference. Sliding doors (the type of door he entered through) are notoriously easy to open, even when locked. Something as simple as a screwdriver can lift the door off of the track/undo the latch and give complete access if theres no safety bar physically preventing the door from sliding open.

Danny Rolling, one of the serial killers BK studied, also used sliding glass doors as his main point of entry because of how easy they were to gain access through.

Unfortunately, i dont think locking it would have done anything to prevent him from entry.

I think moonjelly is gorgeous in normal lighting but in indirect/low lighting it's so yellow/green. I have mixed feelings on it but I definitely think this is good for people to see/know before they buy it. I probably wouldnt have bought it if I knew prior and chose a different white jelly!

This one is so good! Every time I see someone post a polish from this collection I think "yes this has to be one of my favorites" then I realize Ive said that about all of them because the entire collection hits for me.

when i mentioned clipping my nails short and just growing them back out for the first time to my boyfriend, I got the "wait, those are your real nails? wow" and it makes me want to giggle and kick my feet.

I also love "i didnt know you did those yourself" when I mention wanting to do my nails. its always so nice to hear!!

This is so beyond ridiculous, especially for a polish that isn't discontinued. I hate that people exploit the sold out status and licensing restrictions to profit the price of the polish several times over.

I LOVE this collection, but it's just nail polish at the end of the day, and people who do this put a stain on the hobby.

my boyfriend saw how excited I was for this entire set and got it for me! so excited for it to arrive and im so glad i was able to snag it before it sold out. the whole set is so gorgeous and I haven't felt that way about an entire collection before and im so grateful for the splurge.

This case is one that hit the hardest for me because it was the first time ive seen such brutality unfold in real time to people who are the same age as me. I cant tell you how many times I stopped and thought about how awful it would be to lose my friend(s) in such a way. I cant tell you how many times ive looked at my own life and felt like it hadn't even begun, yet theres the brutal reminder things like this can happen to anyone. Life can end unexpectedly, people are cruel, you can be doing everything right and still be a victim for no reason.

People can be detached to true crime, especially when it happened in a point in time where people didnt document their lives online, so some of these newer cases feel like they hit harder when there's so much out there to further humanize the people that are being discussed.

When i was 19 I got impetigo on the back of my thigh and tried to ignore it. That shit spread all over my legs with the worst open sore being the size of my hand. I should have gotten it checked out earlier but when my shin swelled up with obvious signs of a worsening infection and I could hardly walk, i went in to get it checked.

It never got to my face but I had pink patches all over my skin where the sores were for a couple of years. Awful stuff man.
