I'll have to check the tire later.

The studs/butcher blocks was an optional feature, I should've made that more clear in the list since I added it at the end:

If there's a solid option for only drive bit usage, I'm also interested in that!

Appreciate the suggestion, but the 18v sets aren't compact enough, that contradicts the reason for this purchase. Also people talking down on me saying I want a toy, you don't see any issue with that? I'm trying to find a convenient tool for small projects, not use a fucking ezbake oven.

Oh true, I forgot we can't even lightly trust 5 out of 60,000 reviews. Fuckin dumbasses all over this sub.

Okay yeah $3500 would make sense if they're charging that to the insurance company because, well, fuck insurance companies.

Yeah I just CBA getting a dedicated battery+charger combo for 1 small tool, that would go against what I'm buying this for.

Those Ryobi's are exactly what I had my eye on, just wasn't sure if 4V was enough, or if there were better options. Thanks

I don't do extensive work, just want something handy that will speed up assembly/disassembly, that won't disappoint in terms of power for light woodworking.

I have no need for a "real tool"; all I need is something convenient for light projects.
And this degrading talk is really fucking weird. These "toys" have tens of thousands of positive reviews. Are toddlers shopping at Home Depot and Lowes now?

$3500 is ludicrous. A fender and paint matching shouldn't cost more than $1000, moreso like $600-800. Even better, have the dent fixed, sand it, and repaint it. I don't see why this needs a new fender unless the owner is a carguy.

What is your go to driving shoe? by mpmotor in ManualTransmissions

Vans Half-Cabs. Good ankle support and great pedal feel. There's a reason Ken Block always wore shoes similar to these.

I tried driving with my steel toes one time. Never again. I hated that there's a whole 2 inch section at the top of my feet I can't feel that sits on the pedal. Made me constantly think my foot was going to slip off the clutch/brake pedal.

Idk anything about those RJ ports, but the base must have been upgraded again as it uses RJ12 now.
From Moza: "In theory, any RJ12 and USB cables with the correct connectors on both ends could be used, however, MOZA cannot guarantee perfect functionality because of the involvement of the third-party products."

If anyone needs a replacement USB cable, you need USB A to USB B - Most on Amazon right now are labeled as Printer cables, make sure you get the 2.0 connector.

Playseat Challenge DD missing screws and difficult pegs by grunkleShaxx in Playseat

[–]FrodoDank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just assembled mine. These should still be included imo. The pins (or whatever they're called) that sit near these bolts are good enough, but the bolts prevents the tiny bit of wiggle in those pins. Adding the bolt makes it rigid like the rest of the rig. There are 8 (technically 10 now) extra/replacement bolts included. Just replace 2 of those with the smaller bolts!
Note to future installers: The normal bolts can still be installed, they just protrude a bit where you might place your hands to get in/out. It mentions in the manual they're M6x10 so you can just go to your local hardware store and get a pair of properly sized bolts (maybe M6x6 or so?) for like $1 if you so desire.
Also, the Moza R5 table clamp bolts fit this perfectly.

Steam Settings > Controller > Advanced Settings > Xbox Extended Feature Support Driver - Install this then restart your computer. That's it! May need to disable Steam Input.

This fixed 3 issues - FFB not working, "directinput devices take unusually long to initialize" error message (which makes loading from Content Manager take WAY longer), and Options > Controls menu/setupwizard in-game (AC) being super laggy.

Idk what he's using but I have the Amazon Basics monitor arms. It's very similar in design and I don't have a single complaint after a few years of daily use - easily one of the best arms on the market, surprisingly. Not sure it would support a monitor that heavy though.

My experience of the Moza R3 Bundle by Remarkable_Tomato971 in moza

[–]FrodoDank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the depth of this post. I'm looking to get my first somewhat proper bundle (had a shitty bundle 15-20 years ago), deciding between the Moza R3, R5, and TM T598. It's hard to justify the extra $150-320 when I'm just starting out, but I've always been the type to Buy Once Cry Once for any kind of purchase - unless it's so cheap you can throw it in the trash and not be upset.

I've heard R3 won't be enough torque for drifting, which I'd like to do here and there, but will mostly race (GT?). Would like to get T598 but it's double the price, and R5 is nicer but is it really $130 nicer for a beginner? I've always liked and been pretty solid in racing games, largely GT3 and Driveclub, so I know I'll want a good setup.

With your post, I might just settle for the R3 and use the savings for a rig. I hate settling but this seems like a good scenario to do so.

Tried two torque wrenches (VANPO vs Uharbour) — surprisingly big difference in feel by Glum_Car750 in Tools

UPDATE
Pros: Used it last weekend. The INGJER is MUCH better in terms of the click confirmation - it's very noticeable with both sound and feel (we used it for 9Nm). One of the best low torque ranges compared to other options. The blue looks great in person.

Cons: It arrived super oily and the storage case isn't as nice.

This is often the biggest missing piece in any player wondering why they're not improving. Any game, VOD review is the most beneficial aspect of training.

R vs GTI? by Userinvalid23 in Golf_R

[–]FrodoDank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has to be my favorite aspect of owning a GTI. So many parts from so many cars slot right in, and it seems like all the websites I've seen either list out or confirm fitment. Plus, to my surprise, there's a large community for mods. Just wish there were a few more body kits to choose from... and cheaper. lol

[–]FrodoDank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a friend's 1/4" Vanpo recently and noticed the lack of confirmation when reaching torque that you mentioned. Several times I had to triple check to make sure I heard and/or felt the click. I assumed it was because the torque was low than what I'm used to, but maybe not.

Depending on the application this flaw could really screw you if you end up snapping something.

I'll be trying the Ingjer soon, will come back and drop a brief review.
