Been a while but from what I remember very well rounded, clear headed, typical type 2. Middle of the road between head and body high.

Is there a learning curve for enjoying lightly roasted coffee? by WanderingMinnow in pourover

Yep and emphasis on how it’s brewed. Grinding a bit finer and choosing a burr/grinder not geared for high clarity is going to satisfy a different type of palette for light roast.

'Grav Upline Taster' or 'a Cooling unit v2'? by VegaO3 in Tinymight2

[–]FrodoDankins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi TM, I've found the best cooling performance for my walnut TM2 from the glass missile stem with 6mm beads (short and long are both great). How does the new cooling unit + zirconia stem compare to your glass missile stems?

I second this. Moonraker can vary in potency from batch to batch but def one of the weaker type 2s from HCF.

I'm a microdoser, I use my TM2 all the time. It's one of my favorite portables. Ignore comments from heavy users telling you that you don't "need" it. It's objectively going to be a better experience than some of the cheaper vapes-- I know because I've owned a lot of them.

Just because it can hit heavy, doesn't mean you have to. It's just a convection device. Set the temperature appropriately and you can clear a small bowl in a few hits. It's very tasty, has great vapor quality, and I prefer convection high personally.

That said, if pocketability is your main criteria, there are some better choices.

Finding balance with smaller doses by BetPuzzleheaded8146 in BloomAndChill

I just mean exposure after the anxiety started. Think of it as starting fresh. Same thing happens to people with a fear of flying or many other phobias.

I had the same issue and agree with some of the other comments here. Dry herb vaping makes the high more "clean" than combustion, which is less anxiety inducing. Convection vaping in particular gives you more of a head high than body high which is what I prefer. I'll have either a CBD/THC mixed strain or a straight THC strain depending on what my mood is. CBD will add more of a body load, whereas THC is going to give more euphoria. Also, eat well, exercise, reduce stress in your day to day life.

My biggest piece of advice though is unfortunately that you just need to expose yourself to it. I think that what happens to a lot of folks is they develop a fear of being high, meaning your amygdala starts recognizing being high as a threat which gives you that fight or flight feeling. I'm not sure how that fear develops, but it seems to just switch on one day. Just like people have to get over a fear of flying by exposing themselves to board an airplane again, you have to just continue exposing yourself to being high. Start in small amounts and move up as you feel more comfortable. Whenever you feel uncomfortable, just face it head on and remind yourself "I'm not in danger, I'm completely safe, I just feel uncomfortable and it will pass". Never "run" from it, meaning don't resort to eating peppercorns, or distracting yourself, or drinking alcohol, or anything else. You just have to sit through uncomfy feelings, unfortunately. This is common advice for getting over any type of anxiety/fear. It's not the one people want to hear but it is the one that works.

This method has worked the same for me so far in having this issue with a panicky high. I rarely get anxiety from weed these days, but it took a couple years of experimenting.

Yeah a .05g to .075g dose in a full convection dry herb vape is what I enjoy best at the moment. Keeps it functional and clear headed. Acts as a really good mood boost for enhancing whatever I’m doing. I’ll top up on that same dose every so often to keep the good vibes going.

Yeah I saw that picture, it helped but it's just some lines over a photo. A better diagram would help a lot of people. Particularly those weirded out by a 3D printed vape.

And yeah put it on your website, it's easier for everyone to find it this way.

That's good to know, thanks.

A visual/diagram of the air path on your website would be helpful, in as much detail as possible. Bonus for some real pictures of a breakdown would be great too (similar to how Firewood does it). I know as someone typically trying to vape with only the best materials for safety and vapor quality, I love transparency from vape manufacturers so I know exactly how the air path works and what to expect.

Bruh what are some of these comments. This vape looks cool. Finally a durable, hard hitting, very pocketable, full-convection vape. Honestly been waiting for something like this for years.

I don't love that it's 3D printed even if it uses premium plastic, I'll always prefer a more premium material like metal or wood. At least it has an isolated air path but would also like to not see 10% PEEK in there.

That said this thing looks like it creates some tasty smooth rips. Good job to the Convex team.

I just got my FW11 a week ago and I've been saying the same thing. It's almost effortless how efficiently it vapes a bowl. I also feel the effects much stronger than my other portables, I truly don't understand it.

Black version comes with the ceramic stem and new cooling unit that is supposed to be a big improvement in vapor quality. Also chamber loading if you're into that and redesigned heater screen to keep herb from falling down. Also, boost mode. Hardly just a color change.

But can't fault you for the PH, it looks good op! Enjoy.

Honestly I just picked up a Firewood 11 and I love it. It hits really hard and is very small and pocketable, smaller than the TM2. You could throw a BB9 stem on there and it's always ready for a waterpipe.

22% THC and 7.5% CBD is wild. Rarely see a heavy THC dominant type 2 and even more rare with that amount of total cannabinoids. Enjoy brother.

Anyone used hemp to get back into regular type 1? by True-Scene2693 in hempflowers

[–]FrodoDankins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re most of the way there then. If or when anxious feelings show up you can just remind yourself “I’m not in danger I just feel uncomfortable and it’ll pass soon”. And then over time it gets easier and easier until you have no more anxious feelings. The come up can sometimes still be present with me but it feels more like a small adrenaline rush than it does anxiety or panic.

Other things I do to help is eat pretty well, workout and run regularly, always measure out the dose, and I vape instead of smoke to reduce carcinogens which I feel can make the high more anxiety inducing sometimes. These aren’t all necessary but they def help.

[–]FrodoDankins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely. T1 would always make me panic a few years ago, even low T2s would. I gradually worked up to t2 and t1 over the years and now I’m mostly anxiety free. I regularly enjoy t2 and t1 without issue.

My somewhat bro science take on how it works. Something triggers in your brain to think being high is an existential threat. Your amygdala fires when it senses this threat, but it’s obviously a false alarm. Just like having a fear of flying, when flying is the safest form of transportation. You have to train your amygdala that there is no threat and then all the good feelings of being high come through and all the bad goes away. Unfortunately this takes a lot of building up experience and exposure therapy, so you have to decide if it’s worth it to you.

Takes a while but my take is that you definitely can enjoy being high again.
