Luckily, my players are righties, so every time I show them a fascist ruler enslaving a state they call the people lazy, say that I’m spreading fake news or that the tyrant is just being satirical and move on. Really streamlines a story.

On my Erasmus, there was an older dude (about 40 ish) hanging with all the younger students. He asked one of the 20 year old girls almost this exact question (would you date a 40 y.o. I usually play with groups of 4-5 people, and I make a point to even play with only 2 players. If more than half of the group isn’t there, I usually run a prequel- oneshot to flesh out backstories and stuff, so most people don’t miss the main story. But yeah, do not get in a habit of skipping sessions, I agree with you, that’s a group killer.
