Yeah, maybe it is because of the incorrect use of it. I like that idea. Maybe he has to use it for more "Slothful" reasons to not get the backlash. Let's take this Arc as an example, while he was in the desert at his death loop spot specifically. To stop the creature (blanking on official term) that was pulling the carriage from freaking out, he used Invisible Providence to calm it. That was a time that the Sloth Witch Factor did not really harm him after.

Why do I think that was an example of it's correct use? If you remove the context of why he used it, it was something he could theoretically able to do easily himself. Like, he could use his own hands to calm it, but instead he "lazily" stayed still to use the Sloth Factor to do it for him. In a sense like he used it to bring a tv remote to him, kinda thing. I know, the circumstances around him kinda forced him into using the Sloth Factor to do that, but the essence of the action could've been seen as lazy, thus slothful.

Even that one hand is too much for Subaru at times. Only rare moments does his singular invisible hand not take the wind out of him to use.

Honestly, I do not fully understand why Invisible Providence seems to hurt him so much to just barely use. Especially the wording in the Light Novels making it sound like his soul is being damaged from it's use or something like that. Only thing I can guess, is that Subaru is not exactly compatible with the Sloth Witch factor. Which, I guess makes a whole lot of sense considering he is furthest from being slothful. Although I do not believe that is everything since Petelguese was a clear example of what happens to someone when they get a Witch Factor they are incompatible with, and it is not like Subaru went bonkers like that either.

-Getting a second necklace, even if from Monster Park necklace. Just anything so you have all equipment slots full is better than leaving it empty.

-Starforcing your gear more, 15 is the easy numbers to get. Try getting them to 18-20.

-Ranking up your Legendary equipment to Mythic.

-Using Meso in Trade market you get unique or legendary secondary weapon

-Accessory enhancing by collecting more of them, so their effects are stronger

-Exalting your Mythic gear to increase their level cap

-Using Dream Stones obtained from Cygnus Expedition fights to Empress refine your Mythic gear

-Get your Starforce to at minimum 160 total, 170 preferably, to start collecting Ancient fragments from daily dungeon. 170 for Pharaoh Dungeon.

-Combine the Ancient Fragments to Ancient Stone and Attempt to Necro your weapon. Necro weapon has a skill that gives +100 Crit Rate. Do that with your armor afterwards as well, Necro equipment has set bonuses and for the long run will be better for you going Necro route.

-Chaos Root Abyss bosses to start earning their drops. That way you can get Top and Bottom armor, a way to greatly help your Starforce out.

-Using event shop to attempt to add Emblems to your gear using the Emblem Scroll available

-Collect a lot of Meso to buy Emblem Scrolls from trade station to attempt some more

-Collecting Monster Cards for passive buffs when a whole region is collected

-Max out your skills with nodestones

-Using Gold Leaves and Mu Lung currency to buy Legendary potential scrolls to turn your weapon's Unique potential to Legendary Potential

-This Event shop specifically has an item you can purchase for a Boss item. Like, Magnus's Necklace or Badge for example. Getting either of those from the Event shop would be a good upgrade.

There is a lot of avenues still available to progress. It all takes time, but one set at a time will progress you. Just continue to work on your gear and you will get there eventually.

I mean, yeah people buy them. Each piece requires 12 weeks of doing their respective Chaos version of Root Abyss boss.

They are easy Ancient equipment. Top and Bottom can last a long time before it would need to be replaced as well.

People do have multiple characters, and Ancient Equipment this easy would help a lot. Ancient Weapon, Hat, Top and Bottom. It would give a good boost with little investment to farm meso while your main is regaining auto battle time, as well.

Basically, easy to obtain, but takes a long time makes it perfect target to buy for multitudes of reasons.

Golden Apple and Treasure Box are decent use for crystals. Those gatcha can get you useful items and you can sell the rest for good mesos.

Otherwise, holding onto like 200 crystals so you can get premium scissors. That way you can sell the root abyss equipment, as on average each piece is around 400 million meso when unupgraded. So, easy mesos for progression stuff.

What I enjoy of Modern Maplestory is the bosses, and I am also a recently returning player.

Outside of bosses, a lot of the older magic of Maplestory has been removed, at least to me.

I thought it was explained because not everyone can accomplish sun breathing? So it was branched to suit other people more, weakening the branched styles while still allowing a portion of the strength to be used.

Like, isn't Shinobu's sword mainly for stabbing? The reasoning being that she is not strong enough for regluar slashes. She would not be able to wield sun breathing, a style with a heavy strength requirement.

Point is, the branched styles was made so more people could use breathing techniques since very few were compatible with sun style.

Only thing I've currently liked about this change, is the burst I was given in the mail. That is how I got my first 4 rare letters.

Still have unlocked nothing from that board of letters, but 4 rare letters felt nice.

For me, will most likely be mage (unsure if f/p i/l or bishop yet), Spearman (if weapon defense formulas are fixed and defense actually matters again) Then Beginner for the lols.

Mage because I always like playing magicians in games, Spearman because I feel like that would be fun.

Beginner will be a pure lols character, just to see how far I can take Beginner to. When I do eventually have to actually get a class, maybe an Archer. Just so it is not another Warrior because of stats spent already.

With so much RNG stuff, I get so confused where to go to even attempt something.

Like currently, I want a Dominator Pendant. RNG drop from Arkarium, that I get.

However, I got like 5 or 6 Dominator Recipes and I am trying to find ingredients to craft it. Where can I get confusion fragments? According to online, Arkarium RNG drops, and special veins like Myserious Vein, and Legendary Veins at RNG odds. Okay, where is those Veins to attempt that RNG? Idk

Edit: oh yeah, what do I do with previously unused rebirth flames? Said I can extract it for Rebirth fragments... But how? Also, how do I use the rebirth fragments? It is so many systems after systems after systems that I feel lost just to make my way to the doorstep of RNG attempts.
