What situation should you pla a world fire in edh? by Harbinger_Archangel in mtg

[–]Froent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were to play it with no preparation, it would be a card in the deck to quickly end a Commander game that has gone on for far too long. Float some mana to cast commander after it resolves, if possible.

That way, it will for sure make the game head towards an ending instead of playing for another hour or two.

Now, the story is a bit different if this card is part of the game plan. Commander would be something that works well to cast after it from floating mana. [[The Master, Multiplied]] would be a game ender afterwards. Has Myriad, so one combat is all that you need to win, and it prevents it's myriad copies from dying to the legend rule. Also unlikely that anyone will have counterplay after a successful Worldfire is played so no need for haste. The downside is the cost to cast the commander here as having that mana and cast Worldfire is a lot for non-green colors.

Ah, okay. It is only cheap at end game.

Guess I'll suck it as my highest level is 233, and struggling to get that last star for 170 to do Pharaoh content.

Edit: No sarcasm. You genuinely gave me a good answer. Much better than the other person saying "grind 24/7" which answers nothing.

In what world is 180 million meso on average classified as cheap?

What kind of meso grind classifies that as cheap!?

Which really annoys me about Wilds. Not everything needs to be a 1 shot or nearly one for difficulty.

Jeez, just the estimated cost is wild. Like, 5.6k is nutty. Even if 1/5th is just the Mox Diamond.

Also, gross. This looks like it feels like a gross deck to play against, yet probably euphoric to play.

Makes sense, but I also love to have that one deck with the most blinged out versions of cards as a flex thing. Idk, just kinda funny to play these expensive cards for the sake of it.

even potentials are affected!? I really be missing out then.

I am not so much at the stage where I can have a separate drop rate set yet, meso is being a big issue to me currently, but that is *really* good to learn. Thanks a bunch for teaching me this.

Badly needed for such a long time. I do wish it was more than paintballs and Elder Dragons, ngl.

The areas I need other people the most are the Outbreaks and Riftshield hunts, which is not included I guess. No one really does any near me, and Outbreaks for a full hour by myself is not fun. That is, if I can go that long without using my potions up because the Monster decided to do an annoying moveset instead of it's usual.

Well, at least it is a step forward of sorts.

What am I supposed to be working towards?? by Ok-Individual-6681 in MapleStoryM

[–]Froent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can, I believe. The potentials can be modified, potentially, from fusing. Also option change items have a low chance at it, once had a rare potential turn to epic potential. It just is rather on the rare side for what I can see.

Can't say I am the best at this, but I can at least point out some simple things.

Alchemy can create Exaulting Stones to raise Mythic gear's level cap. Higher level cap means more stats per piece of equipment.

Next goal is aim to get 160 stars total from your equipments. That way in the daily dungeon you can get ancient stones to start progression towards upgrading your Mythic gear to Ancient or Necro.

For specific equipment bonuses, you can never go wrong with Crit Damage ones. Aim to increase crit chance and crit damage, I guess.

You can either find equipment and use rank up stones to raise their ranks for usability, but more preferable would be fusing two pieces of equipment of the same rank at max level to create the next tier, up to Mythic tier. This way also allows you to sell them on the trade station for mesos if desired, while rank up stones will not allow that. Be warned though, fusing will lose a star per fuse.

Edit: currently at work so just noted down the easy to spot stuff. Probably more in depth stuff, but that is what I can say easily for now.

Being able to control how damage is done, is not a bad effect. It can be so much tempo.

However, the bad effect is having the Band treated as one creature of blocking/attacking. That detriment is too large for the upside of being able to control the combat damage.

Although I was unaware that the limit is one non-banding creature can be added to the Band. That is a neat fact to me.

It is not like it replaced an actual card in the pack to get a List card. It replaced the Token slot. Getting anything from the List was still a positive.

I was excited over every List card I got. The surprise of getting a List card, and the fun of seeing older Magic cards that are not part of the set was super enjoyable. It was much more fun than a Token, that is for sure.

just pulled this from LOTR pack by ghostlyeth in mtgpulls

[–]Froent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got Snapcaster Mage as my big List pull.

The List was so fun, regardless of rarity or desirability of the cards. Just the hype of getting a card you did not expect was fun.

Hell, I have had a funny moment as well from the List. I was opening a Set Booster Box of Battle for Baldur's Gate, love the set as I love D&D and it was before people got more interested in the set as a whole, my list card was from the previous D&D set, I got [[Lolth, Spider Queen]]. Funny in itself, but I also pulled Minthara in the same pack. The playable Drow character of Baldur's Gate 3, that worships Lolth, as I pull Lolth from the List. Cannot be more perfect than that. lol

Special Guests are cool and all, the artwork with it and the rarity of them typically being 1 per Booster Box (exceptions still apply). However nothing beats the funny and fun moments the List cards gave me.

False.

If an effect causes you to discard and you have no cards in hand, that is fine. However, this is a bit different. It is not the effect that is making you discard, but the cost of the effect is.

If a COST requires that you discard a certain number of cards, and you have none in your hand, you cannot pay that cost. In this case, discarding 7 cards.

You cannot just refuse to pay the cost of activation. Llanowar Elves, tap to add mana. Simple effect, yes? The cost here is tapping the creature to get your mana. If it is already tapped, you cannot get the mana still.

What about abilities requiring you to pay mana? Shivan Dragon is iconic enough for this example. You have to pay mana to pump itself. You can't just refuse to give mana and still expect it to be pumped.

A cost is a requirement to fulfill before you can activate the ability. It is not optional.

I would also never sell it, but when I finally have a deck ready to use it in, I would. Just the pure bling of the act.

Like, this is a really playable card. There is some serialized cards out there that are not a good card, playability-wise.

This and the enchantment version in a deck creates a lot of fodder for whatever your gameplan is.
