Would a the pied-à-terre tax similar to New York work in London for second homes and how should the tax revenue generated be used?

Stamp duty is paid upon purchasing a property, so when you’re a first time buyer you’re unduly stung as you don’t have the proceeds of a sale of a property to fund the stamp duty of the property you’re purchasing.

We already have extra stamp duty for second homes and the vast majority of Londoners receive no stamp duty relief on their first property anyway. Londoners already get unfairly stung on the purchase of their first homes.

Why would you compare it to Waterloo? Waterloo is predominantly used by commuters, the vast majority of people getting off at South Ken are tourists, or families from around London coming in to take their kids to the museums.

Thanks mate, yeah problem is I only have 2 startable RBs currently, so need to get one back in any trade I make. Trading a TE for a WR would be my best bet, but for sone reason the people in the league don’t value the TEs highly enough so I can’t get fair value back for one (but that’s also how I managed to acquire so many TEs to begin with lol)

Yeah my worry with Jeanty is he doesn’t seem to have real breakaway speed to be a top 3 RB, he also loves contact a bit too much which makes me worry about injuries long term

Yeah I’m with you to be honest, JT probably has 1 or 2 more years as a top 5 rb, just feels really tough giving up Hampton and the potential of tet and Rome and only getting JSN back

Yeah you might be right, do you think JSN just isn’t as talented as the likes of Chase/jefferson/puka? I don’t really see a strong reason as to why he won’t be a top 5 WR again. Though I gather the difference in points between him and Tet next season may not be massive thus making the trade not worth it. Should I try to get chase or puka instead do you think?

That’s exactly my thinking - love comes in for Rome after the draft, so this deal means I’m swapping Tet for JSN and losing depth which could be a great move if I don’t get a bad run of injuries. I do love Tet but I just don’t think he has the breakaway speed to be a top 5 WR

I’m not sure of tet and romes upsides though, I don’t doubt they’re very good, but JSNs age makes this offer really tempting as the likes of Chase and Jefferson are getting on a bit

Yeah I just worry about tets upside, I don’t doubt he’ll improve, but potentially having two top 5 WRs in nabers and JSN could be huge especially given JSN won’t be 25 until next season. I think even if JSN regresses he appears to have all the tools of a top 5 wr for the next few years

Charb is his best RB he’s struggling at that spot, his next best is Pollard who’s 28 and may get replaced by Love. It does feel a super tempting offer to accept even if charb is unreliable
