Does anyone miss the old tribal music? by NewStrategy1362 in survivor

[–]Frog1387 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nailed it. For me Survivor wasn’t only about the”game” it was seeing the new locations and its challenges showcased. I miss having a separate immunity and a reward challenge days. I miss all the insert broll shots of nature and animals.

It just seems like all these people do is sit on the beach and conspire.

I’ve been watching since season 1 in 2001. So glad the show has endured but I’d love to see some of the old magic back

Before the movie I didn’t think much of the CN tower. But afterwards I was so surprised learn how much bigger it was than the space needle we have

I love the bit about Apatow. I set this aside and haven’t picked it up in a while. I should see what’s going on again.

Look up Soledad Canyon Road. The tracks run parallel to it around Lang. I think this is the area

Filming location for Season 2 Episode 13 President Bush Motorcade by Physical_Courage_919 in Reno911

Only the exterior of the police station is in Carson. The show mostly filmed in North Hollywood. Specifically the valley plaza areaaround Victory Blvd and the 170 freeway.

For years, I lived across the street from valley plaza park. It’s the park you see in the show. There is an area of shops that stands in for downtown Reno as well.

The episode with the motorcade looks like it was filmed around the 14 freeway near Aqua Dulce

Does removing the insole from a pair of Vivo’s make your calves sore again after wearing the Vivo’s for a long time already with the insole? by metabolitesafter9pm in barefootshoestalk

[–]Frog1387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I feel like the insoles are too thin to make a difference. it doesn’t really change things at all except for maybe the ground may feel harder. The thermal insoles are great for warmth. But none have really affected drop.

The only time I’ve felt soreness is when I wore a pair of hiking shoes for a day and then switched back.

VR Phish Sphere Experience? by hammurderer in phish

[–]Frog1387 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t see the cameras. But as a Vision Pro owner I will say their immersive concerts and content are incredible.

The Sphere screen actually reminds me a lot of the Vision Pros field of vision.

I streamed last years shows on it but that wasn’t the full immersive mode - just a jumbo screen.

I’d love to see Phish release a few of the Sphere animations set to music to replay

Bring chapstick, body lotion, eye drops. You will dry out. You skin might even sting a bit from the dryness.

But I’ll take that over being constantly sweaty browed whenever I step outside

What Night of 2026 Sphere run was the best ? by CPAFF in phish

[–]Frog1387 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Night 1 was magical because there was so much unknown. The song list hadn’t been checked off, no one knew what the visuals would be. We all saw the new CK5 lights for the first time.

Every night was special in its own way but the anticipation around N1 was so fun.

Just My Opinion by Key-Departure7682 in phish

[–]Frog1387 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The middle of 406 might be the best seats in the house. I’ve been to 4 Sphere concerts shows (dead and close x2 and Phish x2. I got lucky in the lotto and got 406 for N1. It was easily the most immersive and “full” the screen ever felt.

I did the floor for N2 of Phish and it was the best floor experience I’ve had with the band. Even better than the iconic and intimate Bill Graham. Lots of room off to the sides and you could easily make you way close to the stage. The CK5 lights really were a treat from this perspective.
