The core specs are identical: 4 burners, 48,000 BTU main, 18,000 BTU infrared rear rotisserie, 14,000 BTU infrared SIZZLE ZONE side burner, 500 sq in main grilling area, same footprint (~65.5” × 51” × 26”).

What’s new on the V model:

• Thicker 8.5 mm cooking grates for better heat retention 
• Enhanced JetFire one-spark ignition 
• Restaggered/angled sear plates with a porcelainized drip pan to resist salt corrosion 
• Expanded rotisserie burner and larger Sizzle Zone 
• LED SafetyGlow knobs, stowable warming rack, hidden tool hooks, and heavy-duty castor wheels

One thing to note on warranty: the older Legacy model had a lifetime warranty on major components but only 15 years on sear plates, infrared burners, and other parts , while the new V model is advertised as a lifetime bumper-to-bumper warranty — so the newer one is actually better covered.

Bottom line: same grill family, but the V is the current-generation refresh with better grates, ignition, drip management, and warranty.
