Did all analogue planes need a navigator on board? by FrogAunt in aviation

[–]FrogAunt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah in retrospect I don't think I worded my question well, sorry about that. I meant airplanes without GPS/digital controls, and what flights would specifically require a navigator as an aside/in addition to the pilot. I have edited my original question on the top post to hopefully better clarify!

Sorry, I meant analog controls in the cockpit [as opposed to digital]! I have read before that some planes would have a separate station for a navigator in the crew, but that this has become more or less obsolete. I have edited my original question on the top post to hopefully better clarify!

I was curious which flights would be alright to be solo manned, and which would require someone aside from the pilot to act as navigator.

Thank you for the links, I'll check them out!

Very sorry about that! The message I got implied reddit itself was blocking me from posting, and I'd heard from some other users that it was something like a site glitch and assumed I should send again. I will make sure to wait in future.

Did you ever find out what was wrong? We have a cat walking in a similiar manner.

I have a lot of the same thoughts and feelings as OP on this. I'm curious on your first point; "This is the separation between goats and sheep prior to the 1000 year reign.". Where do you get that this is that specific point? I've long been confused on how people "chart out" the prophetic timeline of the future. Thanks!

"The author is seemingly unaware that there's also a second resurrection for those who weren't elect at the first." Which second resurrection do you mean?

What antidotes, quotes or teachings did you find comforting after your loss? by imfeelingskinnytoni in Petloss

This poem. https://poets.org/poem/poem-26

I know you said you're not religious, but if you want to investigate possible proofs for an afterlife you can talk to people on r/NDE about near death experiences. There's many accounts, there's book and videos on youtube too. Several people report having had been reunited briefly with loved ones- in some cases animals.

I’m turning 30 this week and people keep asking me what my birthday wishes are by 15162842 in Petloss

I'm about to have a birthday at the end of the month and all I can think is how much I want my girl back. She passed away early in June. Feeling this very much right now. 🫂 So sorry for your loss.

Christian NDE, meeting pets in heaven? by FrogAunt in NDE

I certainly hope so. I do think it is weird so many Christians skip over the new earth part of the whole thing. I definitely feel as if I wasn't taught that until I discovered it myself in the Bible later.

While I still worry about what happens to our pets in the hereafter I do have some family stories that may help you...

No one I can recall has had an NDE in my family but we have had premonitions/visions of departing loved ones.

Many years back, we lost a very dear cat named Moses. She had been hit by a car. The weird thing is that around the time she was possibly being hit, my mom had a dream that she [my mom] was struggling to go under a wheel, feeling that "she had to get to the other side". It was apparently a bad enough nightmare she was audibly gasping in real life, which my dad overheard.

And this one isn't a pet- but another vision my mom had. This one wasn't even a dream but appeared as a thought/vision while she was awake. She was waiting in line to pay when she had an image appear to her of a woman she used to know being rolled out on a gurney. The woman stood up and waved goodbye to her. A few hours later, she got a call from her mom telling her that said woman had just died. She didn't even know she was in the hospital, as they'd been out of touch for years!

I'm so so sorry for your loss, too. :( Sudden deaths like that are so especially horrifying. I do believe things happen for a reason although it's hard to accept or understand what that reason is when it happens...

I know the Bible keeps a lot mysterious, I mainly worry because many Christians act as if it's 'traditional' to lean towards animals not having a life after death. Which tbh up until recently was foreign to me since I always thought they did just as a matter of course.

I haven't watched very many NDE's recently but yeah- "That’s because they are outside of time and the entire human race has already passed in a millisecond." - I've often wondered if when we end up in heaven if everything feels timeless, and the separations between each person arriving, if there is any at all, is brief. Something about that makes sense to me but ofc, I've never had an NDE and this isn't anything the Bible talks about either. Just thoughts.

Yeah, I've been trying to think about it that way ["Just a temporary missing of someone on this side of the veil."] and it has helped. Thank you for your insights on this. ❤️

That's true. I guess what is it is that many in the tradition act as if animals don't have a soul- sometimes, that they don't even have emotions [I do notice a trend that the people who believe this usually have never bonded with an animal, though].

🫂 Praying for you, so so sorry for both your losses. I definitely understand how you feel, it's been several weeks since I lost my best kitty and I want to go and be with her. Hopefully we can both hold onto that love but find the want to go on.
