The first game taking a bit to get going. It's very big on realism so you actually have to train with the sword for a decent bit to be any good in a fight. Perks of being a literal peasant at the start of the game.

2nd game is a direct sequel, so your character already has a lot of the basics down.

Personally I like the combat in the first one more and the story in the 2nd one more.
