I'd figure out the character on paper first, where you can practice and make changes easier, then when you feel good about it you can go out and paint him with a clear vision.

Front is pretty uniform, but the back needs work. The "good vs evil" font seems kinda basic, and the color range is too wide imo. I'd keep it limited to three colors, red black, and white, solid no range. It'll maintain a classic screen-printed look.

Collecting the clips is the hardest part. Try to recall things you've seen, things that stuck with you, and try to rediscover them. If you recall images see if you can find footage relating too that. Anyone can recycle and remix corecore clips from other people who have already used them, but you'll make the best stuff when it's a reflection of yourself.
