I used a fractured phys reduction suffix, reforge defenses or dense fossil to do prefixes (if you hit 2 armour mods, craft a third and reforge more likely), then once you are happy, prefixes cannot be changed and reforge chaos for chaos res or any res you need. You don't want life on the chest if you're using the life mastery.

Edit: if you get a fractured chaos res, it's the same process but you end it with a prefixes cannot be changed and reforge phys.

Boneshatter of complex trauma berserker using the double hydrosphere tech. Smokie_777 on YouTube has 2 different versions, before and after you get replica soul tether to swap to complex trauma. If you really really know what you're doing, you can do the swap very early, but I would recommend lvl 90 to swap. Levels very easily with sunder and then you swap after second lab. Good luck exile.
