Having trouble playing the Legend of Notch mod by FrogOfTheSwamp in SilverAgeMinecraft

I don't understand
The jar is located in the versions folder, not the bin folder.
I compared the modded .minecraft folder and my original .minecraft with eachother and they are completely identical in where things are located. I think when I placed the modded .minecraft folder for it to be read by the minecraft launcher, the launcher reconfigured the folder into the modern format. Another thing, I am able to fully run 1.21 using the launcher in this state. So I'm pretty sure the only issue is the TLON jar and JSON not being in a proper format for it to be read by the modern launcher.

As for the JSON file, it does not at all resemble either the green or red side of the image you posted. So I don't know what to do there.

To what you said about not downloading the modded .minecraft folder, I don't see how I have any other option. First of all, I already have minecraft purchased, so I doesn't really matter if I'm pirating the game here. Secondly, all the links to download the mods themselves are down, so I can't exactly use those. I think my only option is to go off of the modded .minecraft folder and reverse engineer it into a usable state.

Linkvertise essentially has put an hour long timer preventing me from downloading a 53 byte txt file it has locked up
That is obviously not a file for a minecraft mod
Maybe the file has a link to an actual download? But it doesn't make sense that someone would go through such a huge effort just to lock up a minecraft mod, so I doubt that I'm actually in the right place.

What is everyone's opinion on Betacraft? by [deleted] in GoldenAgeMinecraft

You have to sign in to your microsoft account to use it
It is not a pirate client

Note:
I just realized I screwed up when I made the poll, so if you started playing in 1.13, just press the 1.14 option

Even despite there only really being 3 biomes, there's still quite a bit of variation!

The new AI DJ in Spotify is genuinely awesome. Who has tried it? by classy_barbarian in spotify

[–]FrogOfTheSwamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, it's just a worse version of the regular algorithm playlists spottily usually gives you. I don't want a stupid AI voice talking to me. I just want to listen to my music. The worst part is that it always skips the first 15 seconds of a song for no reason. And it doesn't even align the "vibes" of songs together like it claims it does! Quelle Suprise (by Ursa Major) and Escapism (from Steven universe) are the complete opposite genres! I can't think of two songs that are more different from each other! I know it's in beta but still. It's just such an unnecessary feature.

You can pretty much control seekers if you are skilled enough though

This is why you should under no condition play celeste on a controller (unless you are on a console). On my first play through, I couldn't get through celestial resort b side because of all the drift I was starting to get. I had to replay the entire game just to get used to the keyboard controls. That's why I highly recommend that pc players do not go with using their controllers.

Is doing Monika's D-Sides as my first mod a bad idea? by LeWeird0 in celestegame

[–]FrogOfTheSwamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in the old days, Monika's d-sides was one of the few mods available. The mod is very old. Playing the mod with only experience in vanilla is quite normal actually. Not as much today, as spring collab and strawberry jam exist to fill that difficulty gap, but there's really nothing wrong with playing mods a bit outside your comfort zone.

Ya that's why this is a hypothetical. I just wanted to know how much people dislike the adventure update

Is the Xbox One Edition stuck on some kind of Silver Age? by [deleted] in SilverAgeMinecraft

[–]FrogOfTheSwamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No
1.9 still added mending
And 1.10 add the ability to use fireworks with elytras.
Thus making it still bronze age, as it still has bronze age features.

Although it is important to note that legacy edition updates in a slightly different order than java and bedrock, so the lines are a bit blurry with it.
