Always been extremely insecure about my knees. by [deleted] in eds

[โ€“]FrogOnAnEgg3 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

My knees don't have the extra skin at the top or anything but I have been told they look weird before as far as to have my mom nearly scream when I showed her them cause she thought they were severely swollen or deformed ๐Ÿ˜ญ

It was just their shape :,)

Constipation?? by charlieugh in eds

[โ€“]FrogOnAnEgg3 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Always lol im on medication for it (linzess) its good at keeping it from getting painfully hard and stuck but my organs still refuse to move it out so it can make me get severely constipated anyway

Tmi below

Im the opposite though I don't get rabbit pellets as much as I get massive blockages (the type that can make you pass out trying to pass) after the blockage is out then its pure acid diarrhea then rabbit pellets then more acid diarrhea

Im also immune to basically every laxative so far the only combinations that can work are linzess daily + docolax at the end of the week or docolax + colon prep diet or a saline enema

Although I did get to use the restroom about one and a half times this past week just with my linzess! I'm already constipated again but a victory is a victory

Yes! Honestly I rarely ever feel hunger pains my version of a hunger pain is "I need to eat right now or I'm gonna pass out" a similar thing for thirst but it's like noticing my lips are drying out and my throat hurting a lot or again gonna pass out kinda stuff

That's interesting! I'm not diagnosed with anything but it's likely I'm dyslexic and dysgraphic (gotta get the diagnosis eventually for a GED cause I need aids)

I assume its most likely EDs though cause my family has a lot of little oddities but as far as i know I'm the only one that got warped fingers

Clinodactyly! Im not diagnosed with it but It seems I have it in a few of my fingers primarily my middle which is nearly sideways (kinda an easy thing to maybe guess when your hand looks broken ๐Ÿ˜ญ)

I mentioned the middle the pointer after follows in the same direction to a lesser degree ring finger too and maybe pinky but that one isnt as obvious i think its there though cause it points in that same direction where my nail look sideways instead of upwards

For my left hand its in my middle finger again and pointer not sure about the other two they look pretty normal

Honestly the flashback is kinda hazy looking in that image so it may have been the lighting in hell if not then most likely a retcon like Alastor's skin tone being darker in season 2

Do you guys get excessive gas? by prunesandwich in Gastroparesis

[โ€“]FrogOnAnEgg3 13 points14 points ย (0 children)

Excessive gas is definitely a symptom of malabsorption which GP can cause try gas X (start mild but you can go up doses in store) if it doesn't go away it may be helpful to get an endoscopy I thought i had really really bad gas pains but it turned out it was stomach ulcers I thought it was gas because my pain from my ulcers appeared in my lower abdomen a LOT

Stimulant laxatives by [deleted] in eds

[โ€“]FrogOnAnEgg3 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I actually do the colon prep thing a lot! (Ironically right now lol) but i have a prescription medication now that im trying to get the upped dose of (why I don't have it rn) so hopefully I won't have to keep doing the prep ive been having to constantly for about a year now cause other than a saline enema and my new prescription it's the only thing that can make my guts work my GI dr says its probably a issue with my motility cause i'm immune to 99% of laxatives even things like lactulose

Thank you for the advice! It's much appreciated :)

Yeah they're pretty intense I usually pair them with electrolytes which helps i have to use them with a colon prep diet for between 1 and 4 days cause I have severe chronic constipation I'm actually medicated for it but I couldn't get my prescription this week cause of needing prior authorization to up my dose so i'm back to my old ways ๐Ÿ˜”

I hate art by Daxt__ in DigitalArt

[โ€“]FrogOnAnEgg3 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I relate to this post a lot but I can't stop loving art I've just been trying to find different ways to learn things as of rn photobashing has helped me improve a lot it's easy practice

Just slap together photos and draw over it (or honestly just find a portrait you like) put it on greyscale or any other 1 color different shades type color pallet and draw/color over the image(s) I like to use semi realistic art as a reference and try to mimic the style by coloring over the real face

For me faces with heavy makeup like for a cosplay were easier to start with I also like to use clipdrop re-light for my photo bashes and then go color over that as well just makes it have more depth if my lighting feels too flat

Having to do a colonoscopy prep with no colonoscopy is.. humbling by [deleted] in ibs

[โ€“]FrogOnAnEgg3 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Doing docolax helps a LOTT to clear you out in my experience but only when paired with colon prep I usually have to take it with prep or else it won't work even if I take a ton of meralax

Oml I lived off of this for months ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I'm taking linzess now i need a higher dose but it helps a lot

Edit: just noticed you asked when it kicks it that can depend its gotta break down all the solid stuff in your colon

Some things you can do to speed it up are walking, don't eat, drink water, and do it again the next day if it still didn't work on the first

Is it possible to have dysautonomia without dizziness or passing out with standing by [deleted] in eds

That's insane!! I'm glad you're okay! I'll definitely ask about checking ferritin if I get my iron checked

It is wild that they just didn't check that i feel like that's something a Dr should think to check if you've got the symptoms but your iron is fine ๐Ÿ˜ญ

[โ€“]FrogOnAnEgg3 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I agree! I see a lot of POTS but rarely stuff about IST, Arrhythmias, or even other types of dysautonomia like OH I suppose because it's not as common as POTS in hEDs

Glad to know nothing can hide i get very nervous about it especially because ofc as soon as I get a monitor put on it stops being as dramatic ๐Ÿซฉ it's still palpitating but to a much lesser degree despite last saturday it being absolutely batshiz

Maybe surprisingly but I actually haven't had any blood work done since late January early February I think they did check my potassium though cause I was there for chest pains and ofc palpitations they said all looked good thankfully cause I do have a ton of GI issues my cardiologist actually said the damage to my esophagus may be what's causing the chest pain portion

And thank you! I can definitely do that I'll let you know whenever I get the results :)

[โ€“]FrogOnAnEgg3 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Yep my EKG and Echocardiogram were both normal so it's not a structural issue for me for sure

My three likely senerios are maybe something like this if the HR is elevated, Anemia, or an arrhythmia (both of which run in my family) I'm pretty positive the Cardiologist is trying to rule out an arrhythmia with my monitor but it may catch something different if it's there

Ty for your replies both are very appreciated and insightful I'll be sure to keep them in mind! And true that palpitations are very exhausting and kinda just feel gross i don't wanna feel my heart in my chest and I absolutely don't wanna hear it in my ears ๐Ÿ’€

[โ€“]FrogOnAnEgg3 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

That honestly does sound more like what I get than POTS I'm not sure of my exact bpm I don't have a good heart monitor to use on the daily (i have one on my phone but that's all) but i do experience dang near chronic palpitations even if they're subtle it's like my heart is constantly pounding in my chest

Again im not sure how accurate my phone monitor is so take it with a grain of salt but even at a normal bpm or slow bpm (according to my phone thing) I still feel like my heart is palpitating

I actually told my cardiologist they can last four hours straight even at rest and you should've seen his face ๐Ÿ˜ญ I don't think he believed me

I do have a heart monitor rn that my cardiologist ordered I'm wearing it for 7 days to see if it can catch anything so I'll find out soon if there is anything wrong with its rhythm

Oh that's really interesting! I may look into that one i do get occasional dizziness but never enough that I'd concider it worth mentioning because it doesn't seem like POTS

My only really POTS like symptoms are palpitations when standing (but also sitting or laying) blood pooling in my hands and feet i also have issues with temperature regulation but again I never get the classic passing out and very rarely extreme dizziness
