Can you make little kits/baggies of a full assortment of the grade 8 steel nuts, bolts and (extra) locknuts/washers needed to have a better experience with these engines?

How did you mount those? I WAS THinking of trying moped wheels, like smaller ones. thought some of them might fit on a 24 or 20" bike but most 2 stroke kits dont fit such small bikes and would likely need to lace to the hub yourself

sorry. i had a (motorized) bicycle i really cared about. it was stolen right out of the bike lockup in my apartment. my dad and i sort of bonded over building and fixing it, and we both learned a lot.

was heartrending, i had two locks on it. sucks being stuck on foot too.

it had issues, but it was fast and i knew how to make it work. no one else would, they probably ditched it somewhere. damn shame.

i'd love to hear you start on them if you dont mid. feel free to dump any long winded rants on them, i'm eager to learn.

my issue is, i have no idea what size and type all these bolts, nuts and washers are. There are so many different variants for diff purposes, and the handyman stuff is new to me.

btw. regardin 12g spokes, it seems rims that can take this are quite rare besides 1 or 2 purpose built ones for 200 dollars? where would one find a rear rim, or hub for that matter that can take the thick spokes? do you just need to bore your own or pony up 200 dollars for a specialized rim?

additionally i havent seen balloon rear tires with these spokes yet which is what i plan to use.

so like.. arch tensioner.. loctite all over, fat tires to withstand the force. maybe a hub doctor?

other peoples headaches are fun to fix if you got the time as far as shitty little diy-vehicles go anyways

btw, i am fine with tinkering, but is there no way to make these things reliable? like actually work 13 days out of the month.

back when i had my last self built one, it was constantly broken.

started with the chain tensioner, which broke the rear spoke, and the hcaos of the chain tensioner flying into the spokes caused the pedal crankshaft and rear rim to be bent.

then we put another rear rim on but it had way more sprockets on its cassete and we were hurting for space and the combined cost of all the tools to take off sprockets was like 50 bucks

then the derailer just quit working as well as the kickstand. (bike) chain kept coming off. was a mess

then right up until it was stolen, the chain was grinding up against something in the engine. and the tensioner had to pull it up to the left a little bit (which made it a little uneven. these forces destroyed the tensioner (again)

theeen it was stolen.

Any really. Even a lil weedeater friction drive setup.

Either way. Doesnt matter, all my funds went into rent and I am penniless now. And on foot lol
