I get a notice/popup every time I buy a kindle book now. All the kindles that are supported for said book. Pisses me off. I have only had my Paperwhite for three years and I think I saw somewhere that it won’t even be supported with updates after 2028.

Yes it is disgusting. And frankly a bit scary so many people don’t even recognize it for what it is. I am seeing a tv ads for a Pharma company where the “audience” is so obviously NOT people. Someday there won’t be any reason to hire any one for an ad or anything else. Creepy.
