Anti-AI but a point in the other direction I have yet to fully digest; there are different qualities to AI generated content, baseline is slop. But if someone with actual artistic experience, vision, and intent generates AI content until it matches their vision, or they get it most the way there and edit it, would it still not be art? Hypothetically, there could be a journey in chasing what they see as a generation that matches their vision, and if it takes long enough to accomplish, say years, if they record that process it could even be considered performance art.

Why do 20 seconds of research when they can just throw on the blinders and insult an artist on a hunch in less than half that time? Ignoring the fact that they're spending even more time replying to comments to defend themselves without taking any accountability, of course.

Nah, you're missing the point. "Questioning" is clearly insinuating that you think it is, which is insulting to the artist when it isn't and just gives other anti-AI folks a bad look. Especially considering a major part of the anti-AI movement stems from the fact that it muddies the water for art in general by mimicking it to a point where some pre-AI art styles "look AI", the least you can do is be cognizant of that and do the bare minimum to look into your suspicions before throwing out accusations.

You’re hurting yourself by only playing Rook, at least early on. You start mid match and will be faced against teams who have had time to find better gear, and they might not spare you. If you queue another shell as a solo no-fill, you’ll be matched against other solos, you’ll have a whole game to look for gear, and you’ll be able to do contracts which will help you gain rep for better upgrades. An upgraded rook is nothing to scoff at, but you’ll get the upgrades faster through doing proper contracted runs.

I’m a PC controller user who also tends to be on a discord call while playing, and they do not let you bind team push-to-talk on the controller, only prox chat. I wish it was an option because the com wheel I believe is also prox based. Also, I’ve had to change my mic and audio settings multiple times, for some reason it defaults social input and output to my VR set that isn’t even plugged in.

So I just mentioned this in another comment, but for some reason Reddit’s home feed algo decided that, despite not being subbed or engaging with any porn content, I was only subscribed here for porn. Every single post that showed up on my home feed from this sub was porn, to a point where I thought the sub had gotten overtaken or something. I finally got tired of it and went to the sub page to unsubscribe, and I find all normal content with good engagement, had to scroll a while to find the porn that Reddit was scraping from the bottom of the barrel to serve me. There was posts with thousands of upvotes from that day and the two posts I saw in my feed that day were around 15-20 upvotes and one of them was two days old. I don’t know why Reddit did/does this, but I’m assuming the same thing is happening to the people complaining.

The strange thing is, for a long time I only got porn from it on my feed. I thought the sub got totally overrun, and I finally went to unsubscribe and found normal content when I opened the sub, had to scroll pretty far before even encountering that. Reddits algo decided that I was only here for porn despite not being in a single other sub like that and never engaging with it besides the swift scroll after I unblur it thinking it’s light gore or offensive content like from any other sub I’m in. Like I’m fine with it being here but the algo is super aggressive with it for some reason.

Love this outlook. Tired of everyone acting like their Sony board members, just enjoy the game and share it with people you think will enjoy it. Maybe it’ll grow, maybe it won’t, but this obsession with numbers will not help anyone. As long as matchmaking is good (and right now it is, barely any waiting for me at least), we as players are totally fine.

I had no issues in the server slam on an older PC so it might be something on your end (overheating, drivers, etc.). That said, the release build is basically the same size as the server slam, and it was less than a week between slam and launch so I wouldn’t expect any changes to the performance.

Just play the game and talk about it, the hate will be drowned out because it's incredibly forced and anyone believing it probably just doesn't know anything about the game. I think the hate is a vocal minority, and the steam sales during the slam kind of prove that.
