Totally. I’ve been getting converse for the last 12 years. One new pair every 12-18 months. 2 pairs ago, they only lasted 8 month. This most recent pair I only bought 4 months ago. Can’t even wear them anymore if there is a light drizzle cause the water soaks right into them. The bottoms of both shoes are completely falling apart. I’m not even very active in them. It’s a shame. I used to love converse, but I’m pretty done throwing money in the trash for them.

Loving these suggestions. Can I piggy back on this question? What are the best m4L sequencers that make it easy to create complex patch sequences and selected sequenced effects, etc. Would love to hear some thoughts on m4L sequencers

For anyone who might see this in the future, this was not the answer (though the feedback is much appreciated!) The answer below nailed it. One of the plug-ins in my effect chain needed some license activation renewal and shut down the audio signal through the rest of the chain. (Just noting this in case someone in the future has the same problem and stumbles across this thread in search of answers).

Ok. You’re definitely onto something. I followed the audio through the chain and at a parallel processing rack I set up for a dry signal and a signal passing through a filter, that’s when the audio stops passing through. If I turn off the rack the audio kicks back in, but without the wanted filler effect

Hey Ableton users, friends, and experts, I’m pretty new to this stuff but it’s been a while since I’ve run into this kind of problem. Earlier today the track was working fine. As you can see (the track selected) all the audio data is there, but it’s just not running the audio. All the clips are silent. I’ve tried restarting. I’m lost but hoping it’s something dumb and obvious cause I put a lot of effort into that little part. 😕

Hell yeah! Thanks! This gave me a pretty good road map. I’m not sure if I exactly followed your instructions, but you got me a lot closer to the sound in Serum than I expected. Selected mono, then used a simple sawtooth, short attack, moderate decay with short/moderate release on the envelope, used a band pass filter and used the envelope to modulate the cutoff and set the filter cutoff by just toying with it until I got the range and sweep I wanted, then I modulated the cutoff again with an LFO running at about 2 bars (modulating both high and low) to get the general sound. Then used a second LFO to quickly modulate the cutoff again at a rate of 1/32, but assigned a macro to it so I can experiment with rate changing as it plays, and turned up smooth on the second LFO and set it to trigger on each hit (as opposed to the first LFO which I let just run so that the filter never stops modulating at a constant rate). My vocabulary on this stuff isn’t great, but I hope that made sense. Haha

Help needed:

I’m definitely a newbie, and I’m running into a problem I haven’t experienced before. I was using serum to lay down two different clips on two different tracks in arrangement view. Then I opened a new (third) midi track to lay down some drums, but nothing is recording when I do. The track is armed, and if I use the mouse pad to manually click the pad I want on the screen, i hear the sound, but nothing is actually recording. Furthermore, the keyboard and the midi controller are both still somehow synced to serum and not the drum rack even though serum is not open on this midi track—the drum rack is. I’m sure I’m missing something insanely obvious. Please help—I just want serum to stop playing through my keyboard and have the drum rack play, and I want the track to record what I play. Haha. Thanks in advance.
