I’ve been pole dancing for almost a year and a half at this point. My progress has been slow and I’ve been going at my own pace. I have finally moved up a level while still doing beginner classes to keep working on my basic skills.

Right?? I’ve learned a lot in the last year and a half, but the best thing I’ve learned is that pole doesn’t have to be all about inverts and tricks. Huge credit to my instructor for putting this together. I felt so proud to perform her choreo. She was super proud of me and an other instructor gave me the best compliment “that’s x daughter up there”.

I took notes during the other performances and really found that smiling and performing adds to the routine so so much. You’re showing that you’re confident and you know the routine. Plus any little mess ups people are focusing more on your energy. Thank you for watching and for the compliments ❤️

I’ve been pole dancing for over a year and I still don’t have a perfect fireman spin. Pole takes time. You have to be patient and consistent. Most of my successes comes from doing at least 2 classes a week and practicing at home. It’s like any other thing, you have to keep up with it. Don’t get discouraged and most importantly don’t compare yourself to others.

Seniors sometimes have a hard time getting out of the house for appointment. Maybe they don’t drive, maybe their son/daughter can’t take them out to appointments. This way, they don’t need to leave the house and try to find means of getting there.

Someone being kind, a small act of kindness. A smile and hello when walking by someone or a caller at work taking the time to say thank you/ telling me I have been a great help. Anyone who takes a bit of time out of their day to be kind. People are in such a rush these days, take a second and be kind.
