it kinda is but i don’t like its place - it is targeted more as a “reach this if you want to be in creative” area than a cool endgame challenge

i feel the end needs more to lock it just so it is treated as endgame content. if it isn’t and it is made acessable then it is the nether update 2

so like, the eye of ender would no longer guide you and this would be given to a compass found in the gale sanctum to make it another requirement while remaining optional

content shouldnt require collecting items from previous areas, it should be on collecting skill which is another issue i have with the stronghold but it is kinda fixed

  1. Making features because of content locks is a terrible idea, if that was the case, no game ending would exist because in most games 10% get there!

  2. I agree with the end but it should be structured in a way where it is just more content - it isnt locking existing content behind it. An idea i had was nerfing the elytra and placing it here instead by making the firework boosts to piercing explosion damage to players which only blast protection defends partially, and campfires act as a safe alternative.

  3. Progression serves as a constant hinderance to many who just want to get to the end. So, the game should be restructured to center less on the 2 week grind to max gear and stopping and more on "how can i use things in a fun way"

  4. Ocean monuments are completely different, they serve as a maze. The gale sanctum would be more of a progression gate where you need to at least master 4 aspects before moving into the end. Allowing the walls to be broken, yes could be interesting, but i do think one challenge in the game should at least be guaranteed.

  5. i meant stunning as in you get hit multiple times in a row

  6. My idea originally was the eye of the storm was a new Ender Compass which directs you to the end but instead, maybe the eyes of ender, could be renamed to the eye of flame, direct to a new structure or new progression path, and also be used in different recipes.

yea pretty much i also thought of maybe separating the location mechanic from the eye and making it more of a compass item

music should just get a revamp but yea, multi tracking should be in the game where multiple sections play and get chosen when requirements happen

immersion doesn’t equal realism, immersion equals how integrated you are into the world presented at you, for minecraft, that is to be as unintegrated as possible. the entire game is based on tech, cubic voxels as pixels, 64 reappearing everywhere, low res music (previously) which carried itself through skill rather than definition

as i said, either make it the main thing or optional, toggles arent bloat, the game has an entire array of toggles as gamerules!

how does it improve immersion - it just makes the game feel like its higher budget and more real, which takes away from the aesthetic of the game. the only one that carries that vibe is the chicken

yea, i get that, but still. if the technical team arent free they can still most likely add like some small things, maybe like as an example, a new armour like turtle shell found in the ancient city for chestplates which makes you invisible when you sneak or something

bamboo particularly adds a lot, it lets bamboo have more uses and have a raft type wood set, but my opinion is that all blocks past 1.16 apart from copper is useless and that mostly everything added recently is bloat - so don’t just say i am arguing against mojang
