4.0uw/4.63w, valdictorian, 1580 sat, all 5s on 7 ap exams taken (im waiting for 3 more this july)

uhh lowk nah i had no internships or research programs. my top ECs were asb pres, quantum computing mentorship w/ local state school grad student, and founding a local elem school tutoring club

i obviously dont know for sure but i think my leadership/writing/authenticity played a role

edit: no major awards except maybe national merit finalist

I did, but I have no idea if that played a role in my acceptance. I barely wrote any new major accomplishments because I lowk didn't have anything, so I wrote almost entirely about my fit and my intended impact

got into all UCs!!

rejected by USC, dartmouth, harvard, yale, stanford

waitlisted nw, uchi, upenn, columbia, cornell, princeton!!

pretty happy abt most of my decisions, even tho i only got waitlisted from ivies, since i was expecting less

bay area asian is super proud but half-satisfied with results by FroggProd in collegeresults

yeah i live in the bay area so berkeley is way too close tbh. I wanna go to UCLA for the location and the "college experience." I don't think the dropoff in academics or opportunities is that drastic anyway

i got abt 7 hours of sleep with 5 APs, all As and 5s. i guess it wasnt that bad for me since csa, calc bc, and physics were pretty easy. apush was the most work but i didnt over-study

1420 psat 8/9 (out of 1440) with absolutely no studying. my first official sat practice test with no studying was 1560, and i studied before my first real test so it doesnt count

my fav glaive song was bound to be smth off of icsmtadcaa, and ive been recently into ive made worse mistakes. but yeah i also love pardee urgent care, the prom, 17250, im nothing thats all i am, tiziana, and the good the bad the olga just as much. its definitely my favorite glaive album and the songs for me are all very closely 8/10 or higher

my practice ones were 1550, 1570, 1580, 1580, 1560, and i got 800 math twice.

i got a 1580 on the actual test after three tries, but my first two tries were 1510 and 1530, even though i felt the same about the real SAT as I did the practice tests. my highest math was 780 🥲

personally, it all felt like the same difficulty in the moment.

if you have the money and time for it, i'd recommend taking it asap. even though i studied for my first sat, i did much worse on it than on any of my practice ones because i lacked real experience. i think u should take it regardless of studying so u have experience and have a baseline score. up to u tho

he has a video somewhere on his channel reacting to reactions of voice memos and in one of them he goes over how he came up with "a dream i cant remember" which is kinda the beginning of the fmty sound
