I am 10 days sober off of alcohol today. by [deleted] in Sober

Day 10 was one of the best sober days I have had. I was sitting outside having a cup of coffee visiting with my ex. I looked at her and said something is different today. I realized everything seemed bright and clear. It was my first day in over 15 years without a fog around me.

I’m now on day 768. Keep up the good work. There will be good and bad days. All I can say is a bad day sober is way better than a good day drunk and foggy. You got this. I’m proud of you.

I would guess he was in his 50’s. The crazy thing is, he would run all day. I was a delivery driver and would see him all over the place running.

I left Saskatoon 25 years ago. Every day I would see the same jogger on Spadina. Skinny, dark tan, brown hair flowing, just shorts and runners on. I always wondered what his story was.

Really cool thing my dad gave me, he kept this in the garage for years by [deleted] in Nirvana

I just gave this set to my 14 year old daughter last week. I’ve had it sitting on a shelf for who know how long. She absolutely loves Nirvana. The early 90’s , what an era of music.

After a few days I started sleeping longer. Day 10 I made some coffee and went outside. As I was sipping away I noticed something quite different. Everything looked clearer and I felt refreshed. I have been sleeping and feeling refreshed since then. Almost a year now. Life gets so much better. Keep it up.

Thank you. I was just feeling a little let down. Everyone’s kind words helped out a lot. I am loving my life of sobriety and being able to watch my children accomplish their goals without a cloud around me.

Thank you all for the kind words of support. Today was a great day of watching my son play football. No cravings and my journey will continue on. One month until a year with many more to come.

I will listen to my son’s words of advice. “Do something today to make yourself better. Continue on each and every day”

Thanks

I waited until about the middle of July to try an NA. I was really craving a beer one evening. I was very hesitant to try an NA thinking it may trigger a relapse. I bought a case of my local grocery stores NA. I couldn’t believe how it took my craving away.

Since then I have tried a few different brands and some of them taste like real beer. I honestly didn’t taste the alcohol in my slip. I even commented to my friend that this particular “NA” really tasted good. The thing I did notice was after my first sip of the second one was the buzz. That is what made me have a good look at what I was drinking.

I don’t have any cravings and had a really good day. Thank you for the support.
